I hate to attack a place that is already down. I hate to, but I will...
The food was acceptable. My calzone was fairly delicious and the lasagna while sloppily served, tasted alright as well, although I would have expected a little more for the above average price.
The service was not so acceptable. The food took an inordinately long amount of time to prepare despite the fact that we were the only customers at that time. When the food finally arrived after 30 minutes, we got excuses instead of understanding and apologies.
The atmosphere was absolutely unacceptable. There was a big puddle of water on the floor in front of the cashier. There was a wet floor sign but no attempt to dry it up. Apparently, the cleanup strategy amounted to gradual evaporation. This made getting to the cash register or the restrooms uncomfortable but then again maybe that was the plan, because the restrooms were down a dirty hallway stacked with construction and repair supplies haphazardly. Simply not ok!
Pro Tip If you don't mind paying a bit more for average pasta and pizza, order some takeaway here. But whatever you do, I encourage you not to eat in the restaurant...
Read moreIm visiting Indy for work and on the first day went downtown to some fancy place that claimed had good pie, it was tasteless and a waste, it also was very heavy on my stomach. Just because a place looks fancy and in a better part of town means nothing. This evening my hubby said lets try another place close by our hotel. Everyone in the area had 2 stars except Pasquales. So I said lets call for a pickup. They answered and still took our order before closing. I was surprised, I was even more surprised how good the pizza was. This pizza is delicious and has real good flavor. My family and I enjoyed every slice. Wish I would have had this pizza my first...
Read moreGreat local establishment. How could I forget about Pasquale's? I hadn't had them since my high school days. I had a stromboli with some friends from the West 16th St location a few years back and I just remembered we had one on the east side. They have THE BEST stromboli I have tasted. I've had it with pizza sauce and the mushroom gravy. The mushroom gravy is my favorite. I have no idea what they do to their bread but I could eat it by itself. I've also had their lasagna and it was good too. My next visit will be for the pizza. Pasquale's might soon be my go to restaurant when I need a slice of Little Italy in my life. Another 10 lbs, so much...
