Ritter's Frozen Custard - Georgetown Rd. Shoppe — Restaurant in Indianapolis

This place is amazing. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, at least 20 yrs, and I can't remember a time when they got my order wrong. I always order some complicated make-your-own sundae with different ice cream flavors and toppings too. The staff is sooo nice, and they are very efficient. I come here probably weekly on average, and even if the drive thru line is backed up and they have a line out front it doesnt ever take me longer than like 20 min to get through. I pretty much always use the drive thru. I absolutely love ice cream and have tried all the diff places around over the years, I personally like ritter's the best. The consistency is the smoothest around and they have different flavors every day. And they are open...

I went to try this for the first time today. We were standing at the window and no one approached us. The temp today is 105 degree it is a common courtesy to let your guest know when you can service them. The staff kept taking drive up orders and refusing to come help us at the window. We wanted 3 cones. So i stood out there 15 mins in the hot sun. When I drove around to drive up, sure enough they were there to help. I asked the girl & guy with the beard, why she never helped us at the window she stated they were more busy in drive up. This is not fair. Why must a window customer wait constantly for drive up to slow and when we came there was only 1 person in drive up? This is why ppl go elsewhere. Hire...

So the ice cream was good. 💁🏽‍♀️But ! Customer service was not on point. While ordering, the young lady helping us was scolded by Chris, who I assume is the manger. If sweetheart did not check the menu or flavor list before hand , now is not the time to berate her. And further demean simple ice cream ordering by complaining so loud that my husband had to repeat his toppings twice. You have no right to speak to any child that way, help, uplift, inspire that's what you signed up for when you manage a company like that. Shame on you for the energy you let out while I simply ordered ice cream on my beautiful Sunday! 2 stars 1 for tasty ice cream 1 for the young girls tolerance...
