I'm only giving them one star because I have too. My grandma, mom and I all went into this Taco John's for a late lunch to celebrate an early Mother's Day. We had the absolute worst experience. First, I walked up to the counter to order my food. I had ordered a cheese quesadilla, large ole, and a large drink. My mom and family then ordered 4 beef tacos and two small ole. We paid, to which the cashier didn't know how to count change, and then stood there and waited for our drink cups. After we had to ask for our drink cups, we sat down and waited for our food. The taco's and ole had arrived to the table but I didn't receive my food. I had went up to the counter after 15 minutes of waiting to ask where my food was and they proceeded to tell me I had received all my food. They then said, "Where is your receipt?". I showed them, the employee then proceeded to slam a tortilla on the grill, throw some cheese in it, and then threw a small ole in the bag. Once the employee slammed the bag down on the counter, I told him I ordered a large ole, he then threw the large ole in the bag and walked away. At this point, I had asked to not receive my food, and asked for a refund to which, they ignored, said I could have my food to go and walked away. Once I got my food, because they practically shoved it in my face, I had taken two bites of my cheese quesadilla to realize it wasn't even cooked all the way. Read moreSunday, July 21st evening dinner rush. My family & I just left the restaurant in Indianola. Our food was good, the wait was not too long & the associates were friendly & apologetic. The supervisor/cook on the other hand was very mean & in my opinion demeaning to the associates doing the very best they could. As we sat in the dining room, I don’t know how many times I heard her say she was the only cook. She yelled at them multiple times...don’t touch my oles, pull that down, shut that off, MOVE! Instead of belittling them in front of a dining room full of people, she should be training/teaching/coaching them & enabling them to do their job. You could see they were apprehensive to touch anything for fear she would well at them. Therefore making her the only one in the kitchen to prepare food. Because she was acting as if she was the only one capable of doing anything, she should have sent everyone home & saved the labor. What would have been even better....the staff walking out on her leaving her to do it all herself. For her information, the staff was apologizing for the extended wait time. She didn’t have to continually demean them by asking “are you sure your apologizing for the wait time”. This is the most ridiculous fast food experience I have ever had! When I told them I was missing it, they remade it but made it with chicken, not steak, as I ordered it. While waiting for it to be remade, I played with the bugs in the window sill. Nobody has cleaned them in a while clearly. After it was brought out, I unrolled it to find 4 peices of meat in the entire thing. A few days before, I sent in an order for delivery to my work. Two items were ordered with guacamole on both. When it arrived, both items did not have guacamole. Called the store and was told that I had to get ahold of the delivery service to arrange the complaint.
