Allende Restaurant — Restaurant in Indio

My terrible experience at Taqueria Allende accross the street from JFK Hospital. We arrived a party of 4, the waitress/owner was very rude and not welcoming at all. We sat ourselves. She approached us and asked what we wanted to drink? One person from my party asked about the pineapple water and if it was very sweet, she replied everyone has different tastes so I dont know. We all looked at eachother like wow thats rude. I then ordered from the kids menu because i recently had surgery and cannot eat alot. She said u cant order from there ur not 12 or under, I explained my situation and she said i needed to pay full price a la cart!!! I couldnt believe how unempathetic she was being about my situation. After this she stood around with an angry face and sent another waitress to finish us off (the second waitress was great). As we ate our food which wasnt the best (and no im not being petty, the food lacks the authentic Mexican food flavor we all crave) she stood around and gave us dirty looks, our order was wrong and she got upset because we returned it, she thru the plate to the cook and left for the rest of our stay. Came in to an almost empty place, no issue there. Sat down and ordered tea and water. When it came to the chips and 2 different salsa's they were both so hot and had no flavor. I was shocked because we have been to this place several times and its always been good. I ordered carne asada with 2 CHEESE enchaladas, rice/beans. My bf ordered 2 CHICKEN enchaladas, rice/beans. He does not eat lettuce and asked that it not be put on the plate, they did not understand NO Lettuce. Ok, fine it comes with lettuce and my bf procedes to pick it off, still no real issue. I bit into my enchaladas and it was chicken instead of cheese, and yes you guessed it, his was cheese instead of chicken. The waitress took his plate back and made it right. customer service was horrendous. waitress instead of apologizing for misunderstanding and not giving us what we wanted she argued and said no that we didn’t know what we ordered. Owner didn’t wanna listen to our complaint and also gave attitude. The young cook straight up said he was going to beat up my dad because he was getting loud and upset with their attitudes.
