First we tried to order online … well that was impossible to do . It wouldn’t let u order the two side salads after attempting 4 times … kept saying to order appetizer even though wanted the salads. Finally after 15 mins , I called order in. Told it would be ready in 12 mins. Left right away to pick up curbside. Waiter asked for name , then 20 mins later came back and said no order . Husband came home 13 min drive very mad .. I called back and said oh they found our order that now has been sitting there for 40 mins. Then told by manger he could give me a discount and they’d remake it . This is now 1 hr 15 mins after I first tried ordering … said no u can give it to me for free. Told it now would be ready for my husband to drive back to restaurant. Manager said they could call my landline when ready … like then food would sit for 30 mins as husband drove there and back … now that would make sense … said well can’t tell u exactly when order will be ready … I said r we talking 15 mins, 30 mins or an hour ? I have a dairy , gluten allergy so said no cheese on my salad. Get the order home and it’s meals cold ( never was remade) and cheese covering my salad .The fiesta chicken had a good taste but chicken was so thin and it already was tough and stringy as I’m sure they probably miked it and I then had to mike it again as cold . Read moreThe restaurant had two servers available for the entire restaurant. While two people manned the bar and two others cleaned and simply walked around. We were the 6th table on one side, and waited 15 minutes before being acknowledged and decided to leave realizing how understaffed they were. I'm super disappointed in how to cut down on costs as a business they have to run their workers they do have so thinly. Applebees your making poor choices to leave your customers to deal with the consequences of such management and scheduling, so we have to put up with unnecessary prolonged wait times and extended time in dining. I don't know who is responsible for this decision to run the restaurant with a skeleton crew, but we walked. If you work here, I'd find a restaurant who treats you with respect as workers and not in such stressful working conditions to deal with half of a restaurant by yourself. That's a recipe bound for any one server to fail at.
Update: someone from higher up the work chain, reached out to me in an email. In doing so they set straight the evening and I will be giving the restaurant another chance. I will also be leaving a new review based on that visit to be fair. Read moreMy experience today was not the best, my father and I were seated very quickly by a gentleman who got our drinks. The tea was a bitter so we swapped for some soda. After ordering our appetizer and it arriving no plates were provided for our table alongside the appetizer. The restaurant not very busy but our waitress was obviously in a hurry. My father requesting napkins before our waitress took off suddenly seemed to have been mistaken by my father's comment of her "running off" because that is what it seemed as such whenever leaving our table. After being served the meal the waitress neglected to offer refills when clearly our glasses were empty. I don't know how anyone eats a full plate of food without any beverage. My father contacted the waitress who then took her time to reach our table. When asked if she noticed our empty glasses and asking for a refill the waitress lashed out at my father assuming he had a problem with her. Her outburst ruined the experience of coming to this restaurant. The manager was brought out and handled the situation to the best of his ability, thank you Luis. Overall food was good.
