Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Indio

Depending on time of day, this place can have a super long line. It usually moves fairly quickly, but expect to be there a bit still. I went when there was only 2 other cars in line so it was very quick. They come to your window to order. Staff is very knowledgeable about their drink menu and are very accommodating with suggestions on drink options/flavors/styles/customizations. You pay with the staff at your window with your card (not sure about cash) and you can also pay with the app and they'll scan your phone to do that. They can scan your app for rewards points as well. They have a double drive-thru and sometimes your drink is ready before you get to the window, and they'll walk it out to your car. Then you can leave the drive-thru without having to wait behind the other cars, which is nice. All the drinks ive tried have been great so far....

Instead of going to get my usual coffee from the Starbizzle, I decided to take a recommendation from my tita about this coffee since there aren’t any near where I live or usually work. The drive-thru wait was not that long even though there was about 4-5 cars in each drive-thru lane. I took the time to download their rewards app while I waited. They take your order from your car, as well as payment. The server working the drive-thru was super chill. I decided on the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha blended drink because it was on the top of the Dutch Holiday Favorites list on their menu. At the pick-up window, they greet you immediately, and it’s just positive vibes all around. I had a brief, cheerful conversation with the server at the window. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Indio.

This review is not based off the menu, but the customer service at the drive thru. I was excited to finally try Dutch Bros, but was unsuccessful as there was no one who took my order. There was only one car in front of me and the staff at the windows seemed to be having a long (5+ minutes) chit chat with the person of the vehicle even after the vehicle had their drinks. There were 2 other staff members that should be taking the orders, but no one seemed interested to do so as they were just talking to each other through these 5 minutes. The car behind me was also interested in getting some items, but due to the lack of attention they got out of the drive thru by backing out. My wife and I also got annoyed with the lack of attention that we also decided to leave. I guess we will try Dutch Bros at a...
