1st timer, party of 8 hungry people. We went there for dinner around 430ish. The place wasnāt swamped, a few tables w/1-2 people. After us a party of 5 went in. About 4 people at the bar. 1 waitress š¤¦š¾āāļø. The waitress was on it! She managed as well as expected & we understood. What wasnāt acceptable was the food they sent out and what is the worst ever is unexpectedly finding out that they fry their food all in the same oil! How do we know that, you ask? My daughter is allergic to shell food. She ordered the kids chicken nugs, Cesar salad & tots. 4 tots in, has an allergic reaction so bad we had to run to grab her Epi pen. THAT IS HOW WE KNOW. We all ordered a burger & fries, wings & waffle fries, a Ruben, pancake breakfast, steak & asparagus, chicken sandwich, fried pickles & cheese sticks & shrimp dinner. We waited 40 mins for our orders. The waitress was very attentive. When the food finally came, the fries were all fried great! The chicken nugs & shrimp were fried together because of the allergic reaction. But also, there were a few shrimp & popcorn chicken mixed in the fries of everyone elseās food. We didnāt even order popcorn chicken! The fried chicken sandwich also tasted fishy. The salad was wilted so didnāt even eat it & waitress was too busy we didnāt even tell her. The shrimp were burned so bad that you couldnāt even bite into them. So, we ended up there because since moving to the area, weād see this place was ALWAYS packed & a line outside. Food was okay, depending on what you choose. Just beware of the fried foods especially if you have allergies. Otherwise, donāt go hungry because youāll be waiting a long time for your food. Oh! And the draft beer was COLD!! Loved that!! The waitress working on 8/18 was struggling but did a great job!! Give that girl a raise!! Do better scheduling. Hire a prep chef to help out in the kitchen so people arenāt waiting forever. That can hurt. Recommendations, sure. Beer was cold, wings were great & fries were on point! Upset they fry all their food together. That can be deadly. Wait time sucked. We...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant has been a Valley staple and used to be called Elmers. If you're looking for a diner that offers more in-house prepared food versus franchise diners that rely heavily on frozen foods, this is your spot. The menu here is vast and 4 pages long, front and back. The people are also kind, even when they are busy.
The biscuit and gravy are my go-to for breakfast. It is a very large biscuit split into two halves and smothered in country gravy with chunks of sausage. It is paired with your choice of breakfast meat and eggs. The Belgium pancake is another delicious option that is humongous. For lunch, I enjoy their classic cheeseburger, chicken fingers, sandwich board, and club sandwiches. I would note that you should stick to the fries options or side salad for your side because the potato salad was clearly store bought. It is runny, sweet, and oniony like most you buy from a grocery deli. The salads are large if you choose to go for the full size. I prefer the oriental chicken salad and / or house salad. I like the cheesburger salad. However, too much moisture from the salad begins to drown the chopped up hamburger patty and drains it of flavor after a while. I love the mozzarella sticks when I'm feening for some fried cheese. Those are definitely another made to order item because the breading is flavorful and distinct, along with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't think we will be going to this place anymore. We started going there to eat before the pandemic and it was really good back then. We have gone there a couple times for dinner the most recent last Saturday 2/20 for my wife's birthday. She ordered a rib eye stake and they brought her a prime rib. Some young waitress who seemed totally clueless about what a rib eye stake is or even looks like said that it was..LOL! She took it back. Then our regular waitress who was much more older and seemingly experienced server brought back the same prime rib and said that it look like prime rib because it was the last of it. What a joke! They either need to be trained properly on different meat types and cuts or teach them not to lie and insult the customer's intelligence. Never in our lives experienced anything like it before. Normally servers at any good restaurant will tell you they're out of that menu item but, not try to foul you with something is...
