This is a very nice sushi place in Indio, it is one of the top sushi spots in the valley for various reasons and definitely the best sushi place Southeast of La Quinta. 1) The price to food ratio is great. You do get larger portions than other sushi places, especially for the price. The least expensive roll is the California roll and it's only $5, no where else will you get a roll this large and flavorful at that price point. 2) The food just tastes great. I do agree that there are other sushi places that also have great tasting sushi but this place has undeniably great tasting sushi. One great tasting non-sushi dish is the kepup (or something like that 😅) bowl, highly recommend it. 3) Customer service is rather good. This seems like a family owned and operated shop. Cons: The appearance of the building and seating area. This is not to say the place is dirty or unclean, it's just on the older worn down side. The previous tenants didn't do much with it and since this business just started I understand why not much can be done early on. That's really about it. Great place and would recommend it to anyone that...
Read moreMy wife was craving sushi but didn't want to go out in the heat so she signed up for door dash and ordered here because it was closest. She really likes sushi on and I like sam's. Have to say I was a bit disappointed having read the reviews. The salmon sashimi my wife ordered was good but that was it. I ordered the heart attack and while everyone's heart attack is different this one just wasn't good. I didn't taste the crab, imitation or otherwise, and it was dry. The roll my wife ordered was baked salmon and it also fell short compared to other comparable rolls we've had elsewhere. I'm trying to give them leeway because it's delivery but we've done pickup from sam's and weren't disappointed as we were here. I really liked it and my wife said it was ok. I'm not trying to bag on these guys just giving my opinion. It wasn't bad really, it just wasn't good enough to inspire a...
Read moreEver since sushi Bento opened up I’ve loved it the food is great, have ordered from here many times and it’s always great food and service.
This time it was the complete opposite, we ordered from Postmates and when it arrived, it look unappetizing to eat. Pure spicy tuna filling left the same taste in your mouth, really bad and really disappointed. The desert dots we got was the star of the show, really good like how it usually is. We also got miso soup and I kid you not there was two blocks of tofu. TWO BLOCKS and it was cold (not their fault but bruh).
But yea for anyone reading don’t order it as delivery they don’t try as much as they do when dining there or ordering...
