DRAGON SUSHI - Indio prices — Restaurant in Indio

I went to dragons sushi recently and have been going there for years. It’s been a while since the last time I went. The most previous time my group and I were served by a server named Aldo. As someone who is also a server I always give my servers the benefit of the doubt when I go out to eat and the service I receive is subpar. However, after we were seated it took him a while to come and get our drinks. When he returned with our drinks he then began to walk away, and we had to keep him from leaving to let him know we wanted to order some appetizers. He took our order for appetizers and someone else brought them out. We were already almost finished with the appetizers and still hadn’t seen him to place our order. I saw that he was standing at the host stand talking and laughing with the girls there. My group and I began to feel annoyed. My sister finally caught his attention, and waved him over. We also noticed the table next to us wondering where he was just to place their drink order. After we received our food which was delivered by an older gentleman, we searched for our server once again to ask for napkins, until we just decided to get up and ask at the sushi bar. After some time passed, we still searched for him to ask for refills and when he came around to give us refills, he grabbed our glasses towards the top and touch the rim of the glass and brought us our refills in the same glass. So I did it again. I did what I said I wouldn't do. And that was to Yelp only my bad service. So to tip the scales of justice I told myself that the next time I have exemplary service I would let everyone know. Today is that day. I just finished dinner at the Dragon Sushi and once again the food was excellent! But not just the food but the service too was excellent. The whole staff was very friendly but hats off to Mngr. Crystal and our server Magaly. Always attentive and their suggestions were very helpful. So I've mentioned the delicious food, the friendly staff and now I must mention the restaurant. Very nice. Clean, great music, and for the sports lovers, big screen tvs everywhere. Great foood, great prices, full bar with drink specials, and weather permitting an outdoor seating area complete with misters. Will definitely be coming back here. Hope to see you guys here. Very disappointing experience. This was our first time to this restaurant and was very excited because they brought back AYCE which in the desert is hard to come by. The 49.99 price per person would lead you to believe it would be worth the price. They over pack the rolls with so much rice is hard to get through more than a few pieces. It’s a clear tactic to keep you from consuming all you can eat. We tried the sushi pizza roll which was suppose to have a seafood bake and it was disgusting, it taste like it had canned tuna on the roll. We told the server that we did not like the roll at all and they were admit to charge us for the extra pieces. They would rather lose a customer than rectify the poor choice of ingredients.
