E & J Seafood — Restaurant in Inglewood

I was scrolling on TikTok when a creator made mention of E&J Seafood and made the decision to give them a try. I was looking for an alternative to my usual fish spot and lemme tell ya, I am glad that I decided to give them a try. The service was great, the wait was to be expected, the fish selction was awesome (they have orange roughy for those that like/love orange roughy) I ordered the Family pack with shrimp and oysters and potolato salad and mac and cheese for the sides. It fed 3 adults with ease and came with decent sized cups of hot sauce and tarter sauce. I only ordered red snapper but will try the orange roughy next time. My order was taken be a nice young lady that repeated my order back and made sure that it was correct. I waited a short time and decided to visit the neighboring shops while doing so. Shortly after visiting the shops my order was ready. Made it home and dug in. The fish was nicely fried and had a nice texture to it. The sides were good especially the potato salad. Mac and cheese was just okay but worked. Hot sauce was your typical Louisiana style and the tarter sauce was delicious. I haven't had a good tarter sauce since I was a kid. E&J changed that and I ain't sure what they did to it but I hope that they don't change it. I had an overall great experience dining with E&J Seafood. Everyone liked the food and it was so quiet as we all ate. My grandma said that it meant that the food was good when that happens. I mean not 1 word was spoke. Misleading Information, Poor Service, and Disappointing Food

I recently ordered the "4 Wings 2 Waffles" meal for $9.99 from their website. To my surprise, I received only 1 waffle with my order instead of the advertised 2. When I called to clarify, I was told that the meal actually comes with one waffle and that their website needs to be updated. This misleading information was a letdown, and the customer service was far from satisfactory.

In hindsight, I'm somewhat relieved it only came with one waffle. The waffle was bland, and even the imitation butter and syrup couldn't salvage it. The chicken was also underwhelming, lacking flavor and not cooked to my preference.

I would have chosen a different meal had I known about the actual contents. The poor customer service and the disappointing food quality have led me to give this establishment a one-star rating. I hope they take this feedback to heart and make necessary improvements in their service, food quality, and online accuracy. Until then, my...

We were in the area waiting for alterations at Coquette Kouture and decided to Yelp some fried fish that was local. E&J was around the corner so we decided to go and order some food. It is fancy....... No, is there seating..... No, do they have great service and amazing food....... Yes! We parked on Manchester and walked in to order, they were busy but very polite, we were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door. I ordered the lunch 3 piece red snapper with mac and cheese, my hubby ordered the dinner 5 piece tilapia with shrimp and double fries. Let me say it was seasoned perfectly, a lot times these fish places over season and it's salty, the fish was cooked to perfection and it melted in your mouth. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, very good. The only complaint I have is that I didn't order dessert😕.
