I was out shopping with my friend and we thought we’d enjoy a sandwich at Jimmy John’s in Inver Grove Heights today Thursday May 13, 2021 at 1245pm.
No one greeted us or even looked up as we walker in and there were no other customers. I also noted a new advertisement for a box lunch. I was about 3 feet from the registrar respecting social distancing. There was also a plexiglass divider for the protection of all.
I raised my voice to be sure the two staff would hear as I said “how much are these box lunches”. No one answered and after a brief moment I asked again, followed by no one looking up, nor answering. I pulled away my mask thinking they couldn’t her me (Jimmy John’s is required to keep their music loud, bad Idea I think), again asking how much is the box lunch ; he’ll have to look it up I don’t know said the sandwich maker. The other guy was already doing something at the register.
At the same time a third worker walked into the area. ‘Pull your mask up he said in a quick stern grumble as he walked by. I IMMEDIATLEY tried to explain why I had it down and he quickly cut me off mid sentence “it’s the law he said sternly, pull it up! As he continued to the back area, I said sir I didn’t think these guys herd me. Again, it’s the law pull up your mask he said like he was talking to a frustrated child.
I looked at my friend in disbelief, I don’t think I want to eat here. Something was yelled at us in an angry tone as we exited the place. I was to upset to hear but it sound like I was lucky not to hear it.
I’ve been going to that location for years and though theyve never been very customer friendly I never expected this level of extremely poor if not outright rude interaction. You can bet I’ll never ever go to nor suggest Inver Grove Heights Jimmy John’s.
I’ll be sure to tell you and all my friends, the couches on my grandkids baseball teams. My students at Simley high school, and anyone who will listen.
Don’t go their. terrible and ungrateful...
Read morePretty disappointed about a recent experience I had with a manager that goes by the name of Howard. Extremely poor customer service skills. I tried to place an order for delivery... he claims that store only delivers to addresses with 500 and up in South Saint Paul. Proceeds to advise me to contact West Saint Paul which is 2 miles further from my location. I call West St. Paul they do not deliver to me. I contact Inver Grove Heights Blaine location back and I get this Howard again who is still persistent that they do not deliver to my location and then placed me on hold claiming to verify with their map. I have never had a problem ordering from my home or my work as they are four minutes away from each other and I have had deliveries to both locations from this specific location no problem prior to this incident. The conclusion he came to was that they do not deliver to my location but will just this one time. Needless to say I declined politely and ended the phone call. Who is this guy and how can he get more training? I sure hope someone looks into this so he can be professionally educated on his lack customer service. Very...
Read moreI am have been disappointed with my order many times by this Jimmy John's. They frequently forget toppings, including ones I've paid extra for, and when I called them, they argued with me that doordash costs more despite me having dashpass where I don't pay delivery fees (I did an order comparison on their website and doordash for what I usually order and doordash IS cheaper for me) and said the only thing they can do is give me a credit from my Jimmy Johs, not doordash account, that ends up doing me no good because of the cost difference. So I suffered a loss. They didn't seem to care at all that I paid extra for each and didn't receive it. Today I didn't pay extra for anything but got none of the freebie toppings I selected. And they were twenty minutes late which is usually typically the case (often times more than that). They need to find a way to properly compensate doordash customers because legally we are entitled to refunds, not credits when we don't receive something we paid for. And up their customer service to be on time and not forget things...
