STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
6/13 I ordered Chomp accidentally selected pretzel bun for $2 extra, x2 burgers=$4 difference. I call 2dogs cause Chomp doesn’t always call back right away. I wanted to make sure I got sourdough not pretzel & to see if I could get some extra Caesar dressing for my salad since I over paid. She said no we don’t do exchanges, call Chomp(this isn’t true as other restaurants do exchanges & in fact prefer it over having to refund you)
She says in rude tone, “salad dressing costs us MONEY, we’re not just giving it to you for FREE”. Very insulting! I never asked for anything free! I just told her I over paid & there wasn’t an option on the app to add extra dressing for my salad so HOW do I go about getting the extra dressing (I can pay np!) even though I’m sure extra dressing surely is not more than the $4 I already over paid! The lady continuously cut me off & used a snappy tone stating it’s not her problem, I have to call Chomp. I also asked if she could make sure all the toppings I selected are added & she cut me off before I could finish, snapping at me “if you selected it then it will be added” I explained to her that they have FORGOTTEN my toppings in the past so I was just making sure.
I told her that I didn’t appreciate how she was talking to me & explained that I just paid $63.96 & I want to enjoy my food (I don’t like to eat dry salads)& I don’t like eating my burger w/out the fresh toppings. I spend money there all the time cause I like the food(when it’s made right)& like to support local business. At this point I asked for her manager & she immediately changed her tone & apologized, said she would include the extra dressing & make sure all my toppings were added. I thanked her for apology & I explained that just cause I order through Chomp, I’m still giving business to the restaurant itself. I should never have to call & be treated that way as if it’s just a Chomp problem.
On 6/22/21 I ordered my usual: Shrooms burger, double patty, add bacon, extra mushrooms, feta, lettuce, red onion, tomato, pickles and Mayo. Only got 1 patty but still enjoyed it so I didn’t even say anything.
Yesterday, I order Chomp again (my usual Shrooms burger) This time it comes with no fresh toppings. For me, the lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickle is just as important as the rest of the burger cause it cuts the greasiness of the other ingredients & adds balance. I call 2dogs ask for manager. She says she is. I explain I was VERY frustrated cause this keeps happening. Like, I love the food but I cannot enjoy my burger w/out the rest of the toppings on it. I went on to tell her about my previous experiences & she didn’t even apologize she just asked “well what would you like me to do to correct this” So, I said just comp the order at this point cause my daughter was already bringing me food from somewhere else but I was concerned that this needs to be addressed cause it keeps happening.
She asked me to hold for a minute & returned to tell me that I can come down to 2dogs & pick up a $5 voucher. I was insulted again! I said that is UNACCEPTABLE! I just paid almost $30 for this 1 burger & waited however long for the food to get here to be disappointed & not even want the food. She(with an attitude) said well we’re not comping you for the entire burger cause they’re only issuing credit for missing items(lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle) & since I got the burger portion of it I needed to pay for that. Well I’d of never ordered “the burger portion of it” if it didn’t come with the fresh toppings so hows that fair? (Pretty sure it’s same lady as before) told her I know owner (a friend does) & she told me I should call him then & not to order from them anymore & hung up. Now I’m livid but never cursing at her or anything!Called back to get her name for when I talk to Manager. She refused. Chomp told owner(Alan)& instead of him finding out my side he just backed her up & I’ve been told not to order again & accused of being aggressive when I was obviously upset at my order being wrong & how I was...

SERVICE EXPERIENCE: I have been to this restaurant several times and the service is generally slow and laid back which I account for when eating here. But today when I went it was horrible.
First, when I ordered water and my friend ordered soda, we were given long thin straws for it (think alcohol straw size). Next, it took our waiter approximately 10 minutes after delivering our drinks to come back and take our orders. Another 15-20 minutes to give us our food (which is average for other restaurants) and when I asked for barbeque sauce when our food came she said sure and never came back to deliver it. In fact, she never came back to our table to check on our food or drinks until our check came, which we had to flag her down to receive. We also asked for boxes and instead of asking if we would like small or regular size boxes she just assumed we wanted small boxes, which barely fit our food. The only reason this review is receiving 3 stars is because the food was so good. There was also no reason for the slow service because it seemed less than 25% of their tables were full (although, I do admit I did not count or calculate that) and they had at least 2 servers if not 3 on staff at the time.
FOOD: I ordered the pulled pork and fried. The fries were okay nothing spectacular but the pulled pork was amazing! I love the sauce and is one of my go-to options when I visit.
ATMOSPHERE: While the outside looks rundown and old, the inside is renovated and very hip looking. Today there was pop music from 2000 thru today playing in the background but not loud enough to disturb conversation. There is also a bar and tables and booths depending on your mood, as this is a seat...
Read moreWhen I visited this restaurant the first time, I got the Reuben Dog and shared an order of the Homemade Pineapple Mango Salsa Chips and Dip appetizer with my best friend. The Reuben Dog was phenomenal and quite filling; I substituted the side for cheese balls which were great. The tortilla chips were a little hard to handle at first because they were that fresh, they also had a good taste of their own without any dip.
The only thing I was disappointed with at all was the salsa. It was really good, but it lacked any heat to go with its sweet as a dip for my taste. However, I am really looking forward to trying it on the Hawaiian Dog.
My visit last night proved to be even better still. I tried a Strawberry Mule; don't let its small size fool you, it has a bit of a kick and a great taste. I would suggest getting a soft drink to go with it though, due to my nursing it though the entire meal, the melted ice eventually altered the taste in a way I wasn't fond of.
My friend ordered the Combo Platter to share with the group. The pretzel sticks and specialty beer cheese were incredible, I may have found my favorite appetizer. The Baja Quesadillas were wonderful, eat with fork and knife as they're rather messy otherwise. I am not particularly fond of overly messy food and missed the obvious solution till I was nearly done, I blame the drink, but I still didn't regret my choice one iota.
Our waitress was great, friendly and attentive. I plan to frequent this hidden gem as often as I can afford, and I look forward to trying all the interesting and...
