I really enjoy Taste of China at this location and nearer downtown on N.Dubuque St. too.Helpful, positive staff. Not a fancy Asian restaurant but food has great taste and color.Just wish crab Rangoon was better, too small and little filling. Happy Family, Sesame Shrimp are great. They serve enough of a portion that a sedentary scholar would have two meals. Order more rice to go and great possibilities. Only wish I read character as the staff always is munching something good. I enjoy the spicy and the mild selections of seafood. Swiftly cooked, restaurant is frequently busy. Enjoy. This is more like a lower priced mostly Mandarin with plenty of food. Demoting my rating of Taste of China to two stars. The last several times we ordered have been disappointing. During our most recent visit, the staff started throwing slamming items around when my partner took the remaining three or four packets of hot mustard they had on the counter. They also chopped the noodles in our lo mein down to bite-sized strands, and we suspect they shorted our portions as they were much smaller than usual. We have never given them any cause for this treatment. Taste of China has lost two regular customers.

I went in there grabbed the wrong card and tried paying so I dont want it spread around there that because I got the wrong card that my card declined not only did they all laugh they shouted that it declined and to put a topper on the cake I felt so humiliated because of the poor customer service that I made a call to my mother that I never wanted to go here again I had a plain general tso but nothing to eat it with I was scurrying to get out and they dont put utensils in the bag my dad had to eat it cold due to no silverware. I suggest going to the other taste of China before this one because they were extremely rude and never bring in the wrong card or they will let everyone in...
