Fuji Grill — Restaurant in Iowa City

Dined in yesterday and it was my first time being there so I was excited try some of the lunch specials with a plus one. We got two entrees and a starter which with special prices would’ve been $27 However, when checking out I was not charged special prices and instead full price being $43 but the transaction went through at that point. Realizing the mistake I asked if I could get a refund so I can get the correct pricing but all I was told was “It already went through.” At the time I didn’t argue with it cause I’m not a confrontational person but it just didn’t sit right with me and threw off the whole experience for me and my plus one. We ordered the hibachi tofu, hibachi salmon, garlic fried rice and fried sesame balls. (Happy to report that if you miss Jiang Hu's sesame balls, you'll find them at Fuji!) The portions are HUGE, I think my hibachi tofu was literally over 2 lbs of food for $10.95. The food was absolutely incredible! Generous portion sizes, spotlessly clean atmosphere, and flavors that truly capture the essence of a classic hibachi grill. The fried rice was packed with flavor, the chicken was cooked to perfection, and the house sauce? Totally addictive! The prices are surprisingly reasonable, better than most places I've been. I genuinely hope more people discover this gem so they can stay in business. This place deserves to thrive. I’ll definitely be coming...
