Really bummed about my experience today, as these folks have great coffee. Went to enjoy time there with my two kiddos. The play area was pretty chaotic from the kids who previously were playing in it. The most recent family there didn’t pick up after themselves but we didn’t mind at all. The family left with their kids (leaving toys strewn all over their coffee table and the play area). After a bit of playtime I had my kids pick up what they played with (some blocks and books in the play area) and I cleared the coffee table where the previous family had left toys. Just as I grabbed my drink from our table to head out, an incredibly rude gentleman who couldn’t be bothered to even look up from his phone (he had just came in for his shift…) snobbily said to me: “Could you actually have your kids pick up after themselves?”— I was pretty appalled but more than that my three year old CRIED when we left because he did pick up his toys (plus some from those in before us!) and the tone that employee used was so incredibly judgmental and mean. He felt so terrible. Do better if you are trying to be inclusive of mothers and children in this space. I am pregnant and ended up picking up all of the toy mess that was there (it was 1pm so I imagine several littles had been making playtime messes) just so my kids wouldn’t see me snap at that jerk. I was shocked. I normally don’t leave reviews like this but what a snobby atmosphere that employee propagated. We will likely...
Read moreI have to give this space 2 starts because of the customer service, but first the positives. Beautifully decorated interior, great play space for kids, delicious breakfast burrito, and solid matcha latte.
Our group of 6 came in right after two others with no one behind us. The lady taking orders and making some of the drinks seemed extremely stressed and skittish though, to her credit, she was absolutely pleasant the whole time. I made a mistake when ordering and forgot to make a milk substitution. From what I could tell, I caught her before she had pulled the espresso shots into the milk and asked if I could change it. I was told it was not possible to change my order at that time so I offered to pay the difference between the normal cortado and the one with substituted milk. She began to panic when I suggested this so I offered to wait until the next 4 guests that had come in after our group had gone through the line and sort it out then. When I went up to pay they first tried to charge me for a full drink saying that it was important to make any substitutions when I ordered otherwise they would make the drink without any changes. Then when I apologized they discounted the drink by 50%.
The coffee cake was bland, the cinnamon roll tasted strange, and they forgot one of our group's burritos.
We will...
Read moreAfter reading reviews this looked promising..Ordered coffees and specified half flavor. Coffees came out scolded and overly sweet. If you like gas station coffee then you’ll probably think this is good. But if you want anything above that this is not your place. We ordered the in-house breakfast burritos. I’m not sure if they were a couple days old and just microwaved or what but they were not good at all! “In house” must be referring to the fact that the microwave them “in house”. Even my kids could not stomach them. And they were willing to eat anything. So once again this is pretty much gas station quality food and beverage. So if you’re OK with that then make the stop otherwise it’s not worth stopping.... Do your stomach a favor and keep driving!!!! Update: For real coffee and food drive the extra 9min to...
