Rodney's Jamaican Jerk & BBQ — Restaurant in Iowa City

The vendor was not ready when it was reported. I asked when the food was going to be ready and he told me in 3 hours. So, I waited. I went back and there were two women who were serving the food. They said it would be another hour. I went home and then went back and I asked if the food was ready and that I had been there waiting on the food because there was a long line. They said I had to wait in the long line.

We just moved here from a very Caribbean neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY where jerk chicken is everywhere. I can say that this is quite authentic. The heat level is dialed down as you don't really taste the scotch bonnet pepper. But the spice and grilled flavor is on point. The line is a bit slow sometimes but it's worth it.
