From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect—the atmosphere, the food, the service, and especially the personal touch from the owners. We hosted my daughter’s 21st birthday celebration here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Whitney and her husband (I think his name is Semir—sorry if I got it wrong!) were beyond accommodating. They met with us beforehand, were easy to work with, and made sure every detail was just right. The prices were fair, and the portions were so generous—it felt like we got way more food than we ordered. And let me tell you: the food was INCREDIBLE. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it!

We were given full freedom to decorate the patio as we liked, even though there was already a beautiful flower wall and a neon "Happy Birthday" sign. My daughter wanted a balloon bouquet and banner, and they welcomed it with open arms and helped with materials we forgot to hang the sign.

The bartenders were amazing—so friendly, helpful, and on point all night. We truly felt like royalty. I kept introducing Whitney and her husband to everyone—they’re just that cool and genuine.

I recently threw a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend at The Box in Iowa City, and it couldn’t have gone better. We rented the space for two hours, had bottle service and cupcakes, and from start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and thoughtfully executed.

The owners of The Box (Whitney and Server), as well as the staff, truly went above and beyond for this event. Without me even asking, they had set up various “Happy Birthday” visuals and LED signs, creating the exact atmosphere I had hoped for. It was clear they put in effort to make sure every detail was just right.

They also personally DJ’d the night and curated music around my boyfriend’s favorite artists which added such a fun and personalized element to the evening. They were constantly checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly, and their energy, friendliness, and professionalism made the whole night feel effortless.
