High Fives Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Irmo

Stopped by High Fives for a late lunch today. Walked in the front door and we were greeted by the bartender who then just looked at us. I asked if we just sat anywhere and she said yes. She brought us some menus a few minutes later and then said she would be back. (There was one other person in the place sitting at the bar.) She returned from the kitchen about 5 minutes later and asked if we would like a drink. (They do not carry Dr. Pepper.) Not really a problem but I just wanted to let folks know that they don't have DP or Mr. Pibb. My husband ordered a club sandwich and french fries and I ordered a six piece honey mustard wings and an order of fried mushrooms. While the mushrooms were fresh and hot. There was little flavor and they were very greasy. The turkey club was excellent and I really enjoyed my husband's french fries 🙂. The wings were okay (smaller sized wings and not much flavor) probably not something that I would order again.

I did go to the restroom and it was pretty standard restroom. I wish they would have had paper towels in there so I wouldn't have had to dry my hands on toilet paper.

My husband went to check out and there was a problem with using his credit card. We've never had an issue with it before. We ended up using our debit card and it went through fine. The bartender apologized and said that she had never had this issue before either. She did tell us to have a blessed day.

All in all, not really what I expected. I have a feeling that this is more of a bar rather than a bar/grill. We probably would have overlooked some of the food issues if we would have felt welcomed. Could have just been a personality issue,...

I was in the area visiting from Alabama. The vibe and atmosphere was good but the food was not good at all. I spent almost $100 doing a order thru their online ordering which was nice that they had that capability. I ordered from here on Sunday evening. I got spinach dip, fish, shrimp, fries, sweet potato fries, fried mushrooms and a quesadilla. We wanted to try a few different things to see what we would like. All of the food was bland and unseasoned. Fries and fish were soggy. The food was hot but it was soggy. The spinach dip had a weird taste and texture. Fried mushrooms tasted awful. The only food that was kind of decent that we actually ate was the shrimp. Everything tasted very pre made. Not sure how long they have been open but maybe a new chef should be considered. At least the customer service was good and the music while I waited for the to go...

Definitely a nice spot for scheduled entertainment or a place to sit down and eat. We ordered chicken tenders, wings, fried okra, as well as the queso chips.

The environment was mostly white which unfortunately shows most dirt and dust. The restroom also lacked paper towels to clean and dry my hands. had it been more cleaned or smelled more clean I would have increased the rating.

Service though was kind and adequate, we were sat down promptly, and our order was taken quickly and our food was definitely fresh when we received it. So I'm very appreciative of that. They took extra care to make sure that the food tasted great...
