Smashburger — Restaurant in Irmo

Management/cashier on duty was rude. He was rude to my daughter upon ordering. I had walked away. We waited until after people who ordered after us were earing and walked back up to counter to see our food sitting under warmers. Food finally bagged. Take food and leave. Cashier had t said one friendly word. My daughter got her food said have nice days still no word or anything back from cashier. My fries tasted old and not hot. I went back inside. And said I need new fries. They cost too much to be cold. I did not yell. I stepped to side. Cashier starts waking his hands at me saying stop that etc. I said I haven't done anything bit ask for my food be replaces. He started calling police on me. Misuse of authority and wasting patrol officers time.thwy can roll tapes back to see I was calm, not yelling ans just asked for my food to be replaced. Now he disappeared and hasn't replaced my food or given me a refund. I'm sorry for $4 dollar fries I just wanted some that weren't old , left over from previous orders. The Cashier was too worried about milkshakes ordered after much order was placed. He was rude and absolutely had no reason call police. I'm standing waiting on them to show up . I need a refund. I will never return to thos business. I would hate to say it but feel it may have been the cashier/manager has issue with my daughter and I skin color. His behavior towards us was completely different than the cheer squad and families after us. I've bow been here 5 mins . He had not come back and I have not...

The name "Smash" grabs the attention...but so does everything else about this restaurant. After a series of long events we wanted some burgers. While we stood in line and looked at the menu, we were excited by the choices of the Bacon Stack Smash and the BBQ Bacon Smash, only to be told they had no bacon. Ok, it happens so we ordered a smash burger fries drinks x 2. I also got some smash Avocado on the side. We got our drinks and we're going to sit by the window only to be told in a nearly empty restaurant that that side was closed... We sat in what we were told was available with little to no courtesy. We received little to no greeting when walking in although we gave ours, and were told that in an empty restaurant where we could sit. Then our food comes...the grass fed beef was lean...in fact they were bordering on starvation. While the food was good the burgers seemed to have been flattened to disappearing proportions. The fries were lightly seasoned and definitely not in accordance with the word smash. The Restraunt was clean and the general feeling was a modern home style burger place. The avocado was not modern at all, and seemed to be old with bits of the green...greying as I ate it ... But the burger and fries were decent, but fall behind the curve in many respects. The model for the store is encouraging...but if they had been happy to see us upon entering asked us if we wanted desert or any other promotional items, or simply gave a hoot it would have been...

I came here expecting just regular, slightly better than McDonald's, type hamburgers, but what I got completely blew me away! The burgers here are on par with places like Fuddruckers and the likes. I had the large Avocado Hamburger, and the meat was juicy and tasted very fresh!
