This is a great little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. I wish I had been hungrier when we stopped. I had a bowl of French onion soup, and my hubby had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. If you are a fan of French Onion soup, this one is worth trying. The pulled pork was fantastic! The waiter had suggested the signature flavor of the stuffed mushrooms, but I wanted room for the peanut butter pie. I so glad I did! Highly recommend. Mu hubby had the key lime mousse, he said it had really good flavor, but was expecting something a little firmer. I highly recommend and may go back myself for the mushrooms.

Number one restaurant in Dickinson County! Chef Mike not only knows how to create he also understands customer service. Out of the 100 or more times I have eaten at Spiro's I have never left upset or hungry. My favorite is the Bistro Steak (medium rare) paired with a Manhattan. Finish off your excellent night out with their Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake paired with a glass of Michigan Awesome Wine. If you are a French Onion Soup connoisseur like myself I would also highly recommend trying theirs to start. Now wipe the drool off your face, stop reading this review, and go enjoy!

This was my first time eating at Spiros when I was in town for hunting. A friend recommended we meet there. They were busy and we had to wait 45 minutes but we just walked around town to kill time. The meal was excellent. I started with an old fashioned and then got the Gorgonzola New York strip. The portions were huge but I had to eat every bite since it was so good. Local sourced food and friendly staff.

Response to owners: The new table that opened up that you were moving us to was acceptable until one of your employees made the snide comment that we were not welcome because we were not locals and should have made reservations even though the restaurant was half empty and not during prime hours. Not sure where you were going with your comment and I recommend you reconsider your policy on allowing tourists the freedom to sit together. We are the ones that pay your bills remember you aren’t in a busy town most of your customers are likely tourists.

We arrived at 2pm as a group of 6. Initially there wasn’t enough room inside for us to sit together. We split up between 2 4 people booths effectively taking up 8 peoples room.

15 minutes latter the two front tables opened up. I asked the Asian guy with tattoos if we could move them together so we could all sit together as a family instead of being split up between two boths. He returned and said that it was not acceptable because it meant them giving up too many tables to us. This makes absolutely no sense. The restaurant was half empty (2:30pm). I was told that we should have made reservations prior. What a great this to tell someone who’s expected to leave you a tip.

After another 20 minutes and my blood pressure ever increasing I moved one of the two person tables over to the side of our both so we could all sit together. And I ended up giving them a 4 person both back allowing them additional space for their imaginary customers.

One of the waiters came out a few minutes after I moved the table to tell us that we were not allowed to move the table because we were taking up too many tables. Their math makes no sense. At this point we were done with the restaurant and left. We were also told because we were not locals we didn’t need a proper table. I did not experience the food so I cannot comment on the quality. They can put our ~$100 tab where the sun...

Ordered food to go online it was delivered it was a French dip they put the au jus in the container with the sandwich and fries so when I got it it was all over the fries the sandwich was completely soaked already so I called and told them they respond with it's a doordash issue even know I ordered off there website and not doordash . but they packed the order they put the au jus in with the sandwich and fries and when I said that she said I didn't pack it that way well of you didn't pack it that way how did the au jus get in there unless delivery driver opened up everything and then put it in order .she responds with they very well could have o know I didn't pack that order like that. But if the driver did that then why was it just sitting in the bag in a little plastic cup doesn't make sense to me it would be all over the bag and everything unless it was in a separate container in the bag in that cup and not just in the little souffle cup! Ranch ,au jus, and ketchup were all packed with the French dip . The au jus souffle cup had two cups together so when they put the cap on it didn't shut properly and opened prbly as soon as she put in the bag. Will never eat here again not paying $18 for a sandwich to eat mush because they can't pack things properly.. Ive worked in the restaurant industry my whole life. You never put your au jus sauce or other sauces in the same container as the food and fries because if it spills you get a soggy meal like like this! Not to mention people touch those containers then your putting it on top...

Food was good. Server was friendly. Service was a bit slow. They didn't have quite a few things on their menu, but that could be understandable due to covid and distributing (that was my implication not what they said). We came through and stopped here because of the good reviews. We have a family of 5 adults who all ordered separate meals including dessert (to go). My son took 2 bites of his pulled pork sandwich and did not like it. He thought it was the pretzel bun and tried to eat it without it but then said he didn't care for the sauce. He didn't like it enough to not eat it and this is an 18 year old boy who eats just about anything and isn't too picky. He didnt want to order something else because it was past closing time at that point and didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen. We told our waitress, she apologized and went to retrieve our bill. When we got our bill they didn't take the cost of the sandwich off and when questioned about it she said the manager refused to do so because "there was nothing wrong with it." We spent over $100 in this restaurant and they couldn't take off $10 to cover the sandwich. I've never been to a restaurant that wouldn't comp something like this. I suggest you find someplace else that will care more about their products and clientele. We will never be back here and I hope the owners do something about...
