I made the trip to this Carl’s Jr location after downloading the Retail Therapy app, seeing as there was a coupon for “Buy One Get One Free” for a Single Western Bacon Cheeseburger. The disclaimer on the coupon reads as follows: “Valid at shopping center listed only. Not available with Carl's Jr.P app or online ordering, 3rd party vendors or delivery (or delivery partners). Tax not included. One coupon per customer per visit. Limit one discount per coupon. Not valid for use within a combo, or in combination with any other offer or discount. Price may vary. Void where prohibited. © 2025 Carl's Jr. Restaurants LLC. All rights reserved.” When I tried to present the coupon on the app to the employee, she refused to accept it. She told me that Carl’s Jr only accepted coupons with a QR code or paper coupons, and that I should order online instead. I tried to explain that the coupon was sponsored through a third party app that partners with Carl’s Jr, and that it was a valid coupon despite not having a QR code. I attempted to read the details of the offer to the employee, to which she responded in a very patronizing manner and refused to listen to me. I asked if I could speak to anyone else, and she walked away from me without responding. First of all, this “customer service” was awful and unacceptable. I was nothing but respectful in our interaction, and the employee made no effort to even look at the coupon. Instead she said assumed I didn’t understand her, and even laughed when I was attempting to explain. Is this how Carl’s Jr trains all of their employees to act? Secondly, how is a coupon for Carl’s Jr that is “Valid at shopping center listed only” not valid at the shopping center listed? If the policy requires a QR code, how would anyone even use this discount? I only decided to make the trip to Carl’s Jr because of the coupon, and your employee or company “policy” reminded me why I never go here. Read more⚠️BACON UNDERCOOKED ALMOST RAW. ⚠️ This literally can make you sick! I tried calling the restaurant to give them a chance to make this right before I had to be forced to make a review. On June 9th 2023 @ 10:42pm I went to carls Jr ordered a Double western cheeseburger small being $13.49 which is already a steep price for a small combo. But, me being a fan of carls jr and not having this place in a long time I decided why not. I ordered my food and pretty much this Cashier: Letzy wasn't the most friendly person. I got home with my food in which the fries were very fresh was pleased by that. But, I opened my burger took a bite and noticed limp bacon. I opened my burger up to notice the bacon is undercooked which can make you sick! I called the restaurant 3 times. 11:09pm, 11:11pm & 11:12pm with no response. So now I'm home having to discard my burger due to this uncooked bacon sitting on top of my burger. A total waste of money. If a manager is seeing this I want my money back truly you need to make this right. Some might not see this as a big deal but it very very much is. UPDATE* On the following morning June 10th 2023 @5am I woke up with so much abdominal pain I knew I had food poisoning and surely enough I was vomiting my life away with diarrhea. I have had no issues about it, until today, I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and also ordered a drink using rewards points on the app. I arrived to the location that I ordered for pick up and received my sandwiches with no issue. But didnt get my drink, I tried explaining to the lady in the drive thru window, that I also ordered a drink. She stated that I didnt order a drink and to have a nice day. I tried explaining that I used rewards points on the app to order my drink. I tried to show my phone to the lady, but before I had a chance to pull out my phone. She stated that I didnt order a drink and to have a nice day, as she abruptly closes the window. I didnt want to confront the lady over a drink and so I just went home and made this review. I believe that the situation was handled unprofessionaly and that maybe the lady wasn't having a good day.
