TLDR: Never cater from this location. Service is abysmal and will completely waste your time!
I used to regularly dine-in/carry-out/cater from the Tustin Marketplace store as I lived closed by. After moving this year, the Woodbury Town Center store (6428 Irvine Blvd, Irvine, CA 92620) became the closest location to me. I've never visited the location before, but having catered from the Tustin Marketplace store close to 20+ times, I'm familiar with the process and the company's theme of consistency.
After place my online catering order on Friday 11/26, I went to pick up my food tray yesterday 11/27 for promised pick up at 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:55pm to talk with the cashier, who was definitely new, as she had to call her colleague over multiple times to input my order before handing me my receipt. Afterwards, she said the tray would take a couple minutes which made sense as I arrived early. At 6:10pm, I went to check with the same cashier who said my order was still in queue and would take another couple minutes. At 6:20pm (now 20 minutes overdue!), I checked with another cashier who seemed confused and went to talk with his manager.
The manager came over and said my food was ready the whole time, but they were waiting for me to check-in and say I was present at the restaurant. I told him I had checked-in with the female cashier at 5:55pm and she repeatedly said the order was still in queue. He then bagged my food tray without any apology and told me to check-in more often next time. Not only was the service a complete waste of my time and extremely unprofessional, but the food was dry after sitting around so long!
Do yourself a service and drive the extra couple minutes/miles to the Tustin Marketplace location where their service and treatment of customers is head and shoulders above this...
Read moreI’m writing to share about a horrible job interview experience my teenage daughter had at this location. The interview was conducted by Meredith. According to my daughter, Meredith had a very dismissive demeanor from start to finish. She had a sour face the entire time and belittled my daughter when she couldn’t answer her questions fast enough by asking “Are these questions too hard for you?”. When my daughter explained that she was simply thinking of her answer, Meredith replied sarcastically “Well I have all day.” She even went as far as to ask if she even wanted to bother w/the rest of the questions or if she just wanted to stop the interview. My daughter called me in tears and was extremely upset and felt completely humiliated. Meredith’s behavior was disgusting and inexcusable. I’ve given a much more detailed complaint to corporate, however it’s been a week and I have yet to receive any further communication from anyone regarding this matter. Who treats a kid that way? How do you expect for your employees to learn proper customer service when you can’t even display enough respect to one of your applicants? Lead by example. For some reason or another, I strongly feel that my daughter was discriminated against. Not sure if it was her age, her appearance, any other demographics? Nothing should’ve warranted the mistreatment that my daughter received. This is not the first time we’ve been mistreated by a business located in the city of Irvine. And this is coming from an establishment that prides itself on customer service?? I’m deeply disappointed and infuriated. Shame...
Read moreI visit the same restaurant every day for my usual drive-thru order - an egg white grill with an extra egg white. The drive-thru staff is always a bright spot; they're consistently pleasant. However, there's a recurring issue with my order. Just today, my sandwich came with a regular egg instead of egg whites, and no extra egg. This isn't a one-off mistake; it's been happening regularly. Just yesterday and last week, the same error occurred. Four out of five times, my order was incorrect: twice on a biscuit, once with fried chicken, and another time missing the extra egg white.
The manager's response to these mishaps was underwhelming - a mere "sorry" and a promise to speak with the kitchen staff. But the issue persists. The order ticket is clear: "egg white grill + egg white." It doesn't mention a muffin, substitution, or fried chicken. It seems there's a deeper problem, possibly with training or staff attentiveness.
This isn't the only problem at this location. If you order fries, often you'll get a half-filled container. It feels like they're betting on customers not noticing or complaining, especially when in a rush.
In my opinion, the management seems ineffective. The store operator needs to be more involved and implement quality control measures to ensure consistent service and...
