Starbucks has been really disappointing lately. Despite this, I still return to the chain every once in a while. A couple days ago I went to this Irvine location and was left incredibly disgusted. I ordered my drink and waited along with the rest of the customers. I noticed that with the recent changes, long wait times are not uncommon. Despite this, I do not complain or ask for my drink to be expedited. As soon my drink is called, a male employee is at the pick up area distributing the drinks. This male employee has really dirty looking pants and constantly touches his face/hair. My biggest complaint is that he insists on distributing the drinks by grabbing them by the top of the raised lid area where you sip the drink from. I understand we all have our off days, but I have watched this happen at many stores. I understand some germs are needed to create a strong immune system, but this is just too much. Starbucks cannot guarantee that someone did not sneeze, cough, not wash their hands after using the restroom, etc. and then proceed to expose multiple people to these pathogens. This type of exposure just seems so unnecessary. Please do better and train to grab the drinks by the side of the cup. Plus my drink tasted so bland. It almost seemed watered...
Read moreWe would order from this location for years using postmates (Ubereats), without issue. However during our last two orders, they got 1 of the drinks wrong twice. The first time not a big deal, mistakes happen. However, that time someone wrote a really large message with sharpie. They clearly know who we are by our order and had time to write messages on bags. The 2nd time, the same drink was wrong. Now I am wondering if the drink order being wrong is deliberate. Are they mad we aren’t going in to tip them and it’s being done via post-mates/Ubereats? What’s the issue? It’s bizarre. One of the baristas who answered seemed defensive, and I get it…he likely didn’t do the order. However, someone is taking the time to write messages on our bags, and yet not checking or caring enough to ensure the order is correct. They’re printing the drink order, which clearly says the right one, and doing the opposite. Like I said, bizarre. We work from home, and it’s convenient to do post mates. Read moreUnfortunately I will need to find a different store to stop at even though this one is close to my work. Today I had to cancel my food order for the second time in four days. Not sure if the order was lost or the staff was looking for vindication for my attitude on Saturday. On Saturday there were 12 patrons waiting on mobile orders when two men in uniform came in. The cashier/food warmer took their order, immediately put their food to warm and poured their coffees. I watched her personally come from around the counter and hand deliver their order. They came in after and left before the twelve or so of us at the mobile counter, most of us waiting on food.
