I've been there three times, Friday about 8 pm. Each time, I ordered the kebab plate with an extra kebab. Feb 7 Steak and chicken. Great flavor, but the steak was tough, and the chicken was a little dry. The rice and the mediterranean salad were excellent. Feb 21 Gyro and beef koobideh. Food took over half an hour. I get that it was friday at 8 pm, but the place wasn't full. I watched it come up in the expo window, and the girl working the counter pulled it out, did something with it, and put it back. It sat there for at least ten minutes. This time, the salad was hot. The gyro and koobideh were good, but I could tell they would have been excellent if they hadn't been sitting in the window for so long. Mar 7 I ordered the same as the second. I got my food in 18 minutes, but the order was wrong. She gave me chicken instead of gyro. I decided I would give the chicken one more shot, but it was even drier than the first time. I got the manager's attention after setting the chicken aside, and he brought me a serving of the gyro. The food was very good that time, but I don't know if i'm going to be back. $27 is a high price for counter service like this.
I find it wildly inappropriate to be prompting customers to tip 15-20% for counter service, especially when it is this bad. It's an insult to everyone in the service industry who knows how to wait a station...
Read moreI've had Luna Grill before, but only through their catering at events. I found that the chicken breast is always dry so I made sure I skipped it when I went to visit in person.
I'm in a "burger kick" so I looked for a burger and they offer 2. One regular grass-fed beef burger and one vegan alternative.
I ordered the vegan alternative (beyond burger) just to try it and it was alright. I would rate the burger at a low 3 out of 5. It was just okay, it feels like they added it to the menu just to keep up with the trends.
They made it "greek" or mediterranean by adding a spicy feta cheese dressing, but besides that it feels out of place, it feels lazy and a bit unoriginal.
The service was great, attentive, quick and helpful. 5/5 on that.
Amongst the other dishes, everyone was happy with their dish (except for the chicken). We tried the mahi mahi salad (seasonal salad), chicken & grown sirloin kabobs, and the lemon chicken soup.
The favorite dish by far was the lemon chicken soup, I thought that was amazing and would go back just to get my own bowl. The other favorite was the fries (that seasoning is killer).
Overall, a great experience. But I was right, someone did order the chicken and they found it dry, so unless you like it like that, skip it, and skip the beyond burger until...
