Really interesting little area that most people don't know about, but it was the headquarters for the massive Irvine Ranch once upon a time. The Irvine family home is now a branch library, and there are also a bunkhouse, restored foreman's homes, and other buildings from the early days of the Irvine operation.
My dad lived on the Irvine Ranch when he was very young, as his dad was a foreman. He only recalled the name of the street where they lived, and lo and behold, that's the street where this museum is located. We assume he lived in one of the houses there, but I guess there's no real way to know. Sadly, my dad passed away last year before I was able to take him there to see it.
