Avoid ORDERING FROM THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!!!! They're THIEVES! Two days ago, I decided to order from this restaurant using UberEats. One of the items that I ordered was chapatis. So when I received that order, I noticed that the chapatis were missing. So I figured they forgot the chapatis, I mean we all make mistakes sometimes. So I gave them the benefits of the doubt and I ordered again from that restaurant the next day. This time I only ordered chapatis because I really craved them since it had really been a longtime. After ordering the next day, I noticed that the driver took a while to deliver the order, so I decided to call to check what was going on. The driver told me that they don't have chapatis and they're replacing my order with Puff Puff and some other kind of meat-based snack. I asked the driver to let me talk to one of their employees. I mean, YOU CAN NOT JUST DECIDE TO REPLACE A REQUESTED PURCHASED FOOD ITEM BY a customer WITHOUT ASKING FIRST and deliver something WASN'T ORDERED AT ALL. I understand that FOOD items can run out or be out of stock, but DON'T JUST DELIVER FOOD THAT WAS NOT ORDERED, IT'S REALLY DISUGSTING BEHAVIOR, TRASHY AND UNPROFESSIONAL! The lady on the phone also told me the chapatis I had ordered the day before were not in stock and that's why I didn't get them. Ok SO is it ok to just deliver FOOD with missing items if something's out of stock ? Why not LET the customer know and ask if It's ok the replace the missing item with something else INSTEAD OF DELIVERING AN ORDER WITH MISSING ITEMS ???? At first I thought they had forgotten the missing item the day before, which is why I decided to order again that item the next day again because I really wanted it.
I'm extremely disapointed by this shady business practice and I WILL NEVER EVER order from this restaurant again and I will DEFINITELY MAKE SURE TO LET ALL MY FRIENDS AND...
Read morePerhaps it's just not my 'cup of tea.' Keep in mind, 3 stars is "neutral good," the food wasn't bad or anything. I got the Jallof Rice with beef, the peppered beef and the meat pie. The Jallof Rice dish also came with fried plantains and spinach stew (I believe). The plate was alright. I was not a fan of the stew; the rice and beef was decent although I felt it lacked a flavor. It was odd because when I first walked into the restaurant, it had a rich smell of spices but I didn't see it traslate to the taste, unfortunately. The fried plantains were good, they had this salty taste that gave it its own twist and I enjoyed it. Now the meat pie; wow, did it smell GREAT! Unfortunately, when I took my first big bite it was all bread, when I opened it up, there was just a tad bit of meat clumped together in the center and that was it. I couldn't even taste the meat, all I tasted was bread (which did not taste bad at all), however I didn't order bread; I ordered a 'meat' pie. Maybe, it was a one time thing considering we placed our ordered 40 minutes before closing and there was a line of people they were trying to get taken care of before closing but still, I wouldn't think it's fair to the buyer. Lastly, the peppered beef which was pretty good. It was cubed beef (again, not really flavorful alone) but the sauce was delicious and spicy! Which I'm a huge fan of. Probably my favorite part of my entire meal. I'm glad having tried and to anybody wondering if they should give it a shot, you should. My taste may just be different from yours. It didn't 'wow' me enough to go back but for what it's worth, if presented to me, I would...
Read moreFirst time trying Nigerian food. The beef and jollof rice tasted good. But it is evident that everything has been sitting in warming pans for a long time and doesn’t get mixed regularly. Whatever is on top dries out. Some of the beef had good texture, other pieces were incredibly dry and hard to chew. Same with the plantains. No complaints about the jollof rice. The spinach stew is definitely an acquired taste and not to my liking. Oily with a very earthy flavor. The hot sauce provided has a unique flavor and is VERY hot. We liked the meat pie as well. The restaurant has no inside seating. There is a communal area with tables outside. The interior is also a bit messy. We ordered through an iPad and none of the employees asked if we needed help...
