Starbucks — Restaurant in Irvine

There is a girl over there from the staff, with half white, half black hair, and she behaves exactly like Cruela Devil. I always order my coffee through the app, and I was advised by another employee to edit my name to Name- Steam, since there is no option on the app for a 2% steamed milk. Usually I don’t have a problem with my order, the staff pretty much gets it easily. Well, in this coffee shop they made it cold, and I politely asked them to redo it as hot. Cruela Devil bursted into a monologue how they will be the only Starbucks store not to be able to help me with my order, and that I should either order online (which I did), or go to another store. This is pretty absurd, since I live in the same property where Starbucks is located, for 8 years now. I haven’t seen such arrogance and rudeness. The girl felt entitled to her “lecturing me”, forgetting she is in the service industry, and I am paying for this product after all. I believe the management needs to educate her how to behave with clients, be polite enough, and make her aware that if she doesn’t like her job, she has a choice not to do it. I...

Summary: bad environment + poorly made specialty drinks + no app notifications

Details: This location is really bad after the remodel (fall 2018). All the comfy chairs are gone, lights are either flickering or spotlight directly on your head. The center collaboration table is too narrow for laptop users to sit across from one another.

Regarding drinks: I live nearby so I come here a lot but I know I can never order the seasonal or specialty drinks because every time I've tried here my drink was made incorrectly refresher: 1x watered down nitro cold brew: 1x was either out of date or made incorrectly... all the nitro went flat after about 30 seconds and taste was stale/off white chocolate mocha: 1x they forgot to add the mocha and whipped cream, literally just mixed espresso and milk and put it out

to top it off, they don't integrate with the Starbucks app: app users are supposed to get a notification when the drink is set out, whatever the barista needs to do to make this happen, they don't do at...

I used to come here to study almost everyday, but this recent remodel has absolutely ruined the reputation of here and for a just reason too. It’s no longer cozy. While less people come now to hangout and talk, it’s good if you want to study with that sense of quietness. Though in the sense of space use, it’s ridiculous how the layout goes. There’s less seating and basically four of each type of seating they have (high tables, low tables/bench, individual chairs, and one long table). The higher stools have no support what so ever (the top of the chair goes only to your lower back) which forces you not to want to stay there.
