Luna Grill is my new food court. I don't mean that in a bad way but if you have less than an hour until show time and you don't want to miss your movie. Luna Grill will make great tasting food and it's near the Regal movie theater right next to were the Food Court use to be. I'm not a cheepo, although sometimes I can be, I just hate waiting for restaurants. The wait at most restaurants on a Friday or Saturday night are close to forever. I don't want to show up 3 hours before just to have dinner and a movie.
Location: This is the best feature my opinion. I always go here before catching a movie and sometimes Pieology but that's half way across the Spectrum.
Pricing: The food prices are decent it fair for what you get and the portions are large. I recommend ordering a combo and adding a few extra items to share with a friend. Order an item for each person is way too much food for the average person.
I always get the Gyro plate. I sometimes add a chicken and/or beef kabob to make it a dinner or lunch for 2. I love the salad, pita, and rice that comes with the combo. I dine in if there is space or take it To Go and eat outside.
CON: The only con for me is the waiting. On a busy night, To Go can take 15 to 25 minutes and finding seating is next to impossible most weekends at night. It's a lot like trying to find a parking space during a peak time at Disneyland. Madness! I love the Irvine Spectrum but at times there are way too many people.
I recommend Luna Grill. Please don't go when I do, unless you are in line behind me. Thanks! Ha ha. But seriously... Please! Lunch time or before the dinner rush is the...
Read moreHad an awful experience with Luna Grill at Spectrum Center in Irvine yesterday. Ordered two chicken kebabs. The food was awful, Chicken was 4 tiny pieces and was burnt and had no taste, rice was not cooked, Salad portion included two slices of cucumber, a slice of tomato, and half of the leaf of lettuce with no dressing, the food portion too small, served cold, and nothing was fresh. Among other things, the bathroom was filthy, soap dispenser not working, water faucet not working. The floor was messy most tables had dirty dishes and leftover foods from the previous customers on them. When I asked for the manager to complain about the food, a woman named " LINDA" came to my table, claimed that she is the manager, she had a very poor attitude, was extremely rude and unfriendly. I told her about the food, no apologies! I asked her to change my food, first, she refused to do it and then she said she will only change, ONE piece of the chicken kebob since she believed only one piece was burnt!!! Then she took away the whole plate with all the food in it and did not give me another one, and went to the cash register, after overcharging me for two extra sodas that we never had, she refunded half of one order by throwing money at me. I told her that I will make a complaint to the owner and the Headquarter, and will write a review about how she mistreated us, she smirked and said:" be my guest". WOW!!! Is this what they call customer service!? I used to come to this place in the past, and never had such a horrible experience, I would NEVER go back again, and make sure others know about my...
Read moreI recently visited Luna Grill, and while the food was delicious as always, what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service provided by a cashier named Oliver. From the moment I walked in, Oliver greeted me with a warm, genuine smile that immediately made me feel welcome. He was incredibly attentive, taking the time to answer my questions about the menu and even offering thoughtful suggestions based on my preferences. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his enthusiasm for the food was contagious! What stood out most was Oliver’s attention to detail. He made sure my order was perfect, double-checking every detail to ensure everything was just right. His professionalism, combined with his friendly demeanor, created a sense of personal care that is rare to find in customer service. Oliver truly went above and beyond, turning what could have been a routine meal into a delightful experience. If you’re lucky enough to visit Luna Grill and have Oliver assist you, you’re in for a treat. Luna Grill is lucky to have someone like him on their team, and I’ll definitely be returning soon—both for the great food and the...
