Wahoo's Fish Taco — Restaurant in Irvine

I like wahoo’s, been to various locations for years and enjoyed the food. I was at this location for the 1st time for lunch today with a friend. I ordered salmon bowl. My friend got his food and waited for me to start but it did not happen; i insisted him to eat. A lady came and said “salmon taking some time to cook” (I dont know what it means). Things happen, i was okay with some delay, no biggie.. But then my friend finished his burrito; people ordered after me got their food already, some even finished eating like my friend.. i was still waiting.. since lunch time is limited and we had go back to work i asked them to cancel my order and refund my my money . She said it is almost ready(still not ready). I said too late but they did not want to refund i guess. Then i said to give it to me to go at least and they were interestingly okay with that after ruining my lunch. It was a shame.. This was definitely not good customer service. The fish had a weird taste by the way, I threw it in the trash! 20 bucks for nothing! No more...

Impressive place in all major aspects: great menu, exceptional service, price to portion is insanely good (they have a happy hour where the price to portion is nuts...in a great way). The best way I can put this experience: It is medium end sit down quality food with fast food service and prices. Guacamole is excellent. The tortilla chips are homemade and the salsa is fresh and clean. My queseda was very good as well. There were five of us and every one was extremely happy with the experience. On a side note: Do check to see if the location you intend to visit is actually open. At first, Google maps directed us to a location on the Pepperdine business campus in Irvine that was actually closed at 6:00 P.M. on a Thursday, but during holiday break. Not a big deal because another location was close by, but it...

2 stars because this place has an amazing chief, if it wasn't for that it would be 0 stars!! Come on man the management down there is a joke, and the way some salsas are being processed and exported from the fridge to the containers that serve the customers is not very much up to quality standards! After several experiences I witnessed that the office is behind the kitchen, and sometimes staff not wearing caps and gloves hover around the kitchen and even at times deliver your food while touching your plate without proper gloves! Better management will only serve this place the justice and the future this place and the amazing chief deserves, and need at times like this! Also a better layout for the store office placement...
