I recently had the pleasure of dining at India 101 and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in the ambiance was warm and inviting creating an atmosphere that felt authentic and comfortable.
The staff at India 101 were attentive friendly and knowledgeable. They greeted us with smiles and promptly seated us. Our server was well-versed in the menu and was able to provide excellent recommendations based on our preferences.
Now let's talk about the food. The menu at India 101 offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes and each dish we ordered was bursting with flavors. The presentation of the food was visually appealing and the portions were generous.
We started our meal with the garlic naan and the samosas both of which were delicious. The naan was warm soft and perfectly cooked while the samosas were crispy and filled with a flavorful potato filling.
For our main course we ordered the butter chicken and the lamb biryani. The butter chicken was rich and creamy with the perfect balance of spices. The tender pieces of chicken melted in our mouths and the sauce was simply divine. The lamb biryani was fragrant and flavorful with tender pieces of well-cooked lamb mixed with aromatic basmati rice.
The restaurant also offers a range of vegetarian options which we were happy to see. The palak paneer we ordered was creamy and packed with flavor. It was evident that the ingredients used in all the dishes were fresh and of high quality.
To finish off our meal we indulged in the mango lassi which was the perfect blend of sweetness and tanginess. It was a refreshing way to end the feast.
One aspect that deserves special mention is the value for money offered at India 101. The prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food served. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content knowing that we had enjoyed a great meal without breaking the bank.
Overall our experience at India 101 was excellent. The combination of attentive service flavorful food and inviting ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. India 101 has certainly left a lasting impression and I look forward to...
Read moreParathas in pizza box. I am a huge supporter of small businesses and I know a good or bad review can make and break the reputation but I am also follower of reviews and base my buying decision on that so I will be extremely honest. The parathas tastes - no doubt good. I ordered lamb keema, achari chicken, amritsari aloo paratha and malai paneer parathas to taste few. Ordered by phone and it was ready within 30 mins. The lady on phone was extremely sweet and patient and even though she said 45-55 mins I urged to do me a favour and do a quick one as I was fasting all day and she did graciously honored that. So yes 5/5 star on customer service. Even if they wouldn’t have made in 30 mins I would give them 5 stars for service as they were courteous and patient to help me decide parathas. There parathas are numbered, so make sure you give them the number not name of parathas. When we went for pick up they were in recycle pizza boxes.Presentation was great but if they are all for same home why waste 4 boxes esp if we are trying to be envoirnment cauntious- they could have easily packed 2 parathas in a box if not all 4 in 1. That’s why I took one star away as it does not make sense honestly unless they are going in different homes. Two veg parathas in one box and two non veg in other, that’s one tip for them to ask while taking order to pack them together or separately. Now to parathas - I feel $9.99 for one paratha is outrageous but I will pay coz it was lamb keema and it was over the top good. Rest 3 parathas were $6.99 each - seemed outrageous. Taste wise they were ok. Chicken achari I found was very dry. They do give butter, raita and daal on side in small box so you can slather more butter (home made style) and daal was delicious too. Over all it was ok, will I return again? Probably for lamb keema paratha May be but not too sure. I wish this venture all the best and hope...
Read moreHave you ever been to a restaurant and wondered, what’s the meaning behind the name?? Welcome to 101 Paratha, where the name couldn’t be any more obvious. They literally have 101 different types of Paratha!! Mind-boggling!!!
I was curious to try out this place and check the exhaustive offering, so I did one weekend afternoon with a few friends. They had lunch buffet available so we capitalized on it (we couldn’t possibly try out every single item amongst the 3 of us, duh!). I was a little skeptic, at first, about the 101 different parathas, but one look at the menu quickly shut those doubts to bed. There were some parathas that I hadn’t heard of and some I didn’t think would be possible to make.
The buffet had about 15 or more different paratha options and we tried to get a piece of each. Obviously, there were some that we enjoyed more than the others. They have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options along with drinks; mango lassi and masala chai were our choices. The parathas were warm and tasty, the drinks were fantastic especially the mango lassi which was refreshing. The ambiance was contemporary and the place is big enough to accommodate big parties.
Although the buffet was good, it was pretty expensive. You do get to try a variety of different parathas but those fill you up very quickly and you might not get the chance to try them all. However, I’d argue that it’s worth the money given the sheer quantity and quality of this restaurant. There’s something for everyone to try out and is suitable for family, friends...
