This place should be ashamed to call themselves San Diego Mexican food. I've lived in San Diego all my life, and got stationed in OK a couple years ago. After craving Carne asada fries, this place just left me disappointed. Fries to large for what the dish is. The marinade was decent, and represent a San Diego style marinade, but the meat the used was way to thin of a cut, and it does help that its was super greasy. It's was almost like they chopped the meat into the size of bacon bits, then proceeded to cook it, allowing it to cook it its own grease. There were no beans on the fries, and not even Pico de Gallo. Then they used cheddar chess rather than queso fresco, or even a Mexican blend. This food is designed for those that live in Dallas, and don't know what good Mexican food taste like. Below are what the fries and meat look like, vs what a real San Diego Mexican food looks like. Only reason why it isn't one star is because their horchata was good, and their marinade was decent.

DO NOT EAT HERE. This is by far The worst Mexican food in DFW, do yourself a favor and go to Taco Bell. I promise you Taco Bell is probably 10 times better than this place. They do not have a cook but young girl probably teen who microwaves food. Here is exhibit A boiled chicken with chunks of pinkish dark color without any type of seasoning whatsoever with a slice of cheese straight out of the microwave in a wet soggy $0.05 tortilla. The salsa or whatever the rest was supposed to be had zero favor and tasted old. Somebody will get horribly sick eating raw microwave chicken here. Why the owner goes not review the reviews is beyond me I mean everyone is saying the same thing. Oh well just run! I do not recommend this place.

San Diego Tacos – Fort Worth This place has good, no-nonsense Mexican food. The tacos are tasty and satisfying, nothing groundbreaking, but they do the trick when you’re in the mood for something quick and flavorful. What makes it stand out is the variety—they offer more than just tacos, with options like gorditas and other Mexican staples, so there’s a little more to choose from if you want to mix things up. Is it the best I’ve had? No. But it’s a reliable choice if you’re nearby and want a decent meal without the fuss. Would I go out of my way for it? Not really. But I wouldn’t mind stopping by again.

Honestly one of my favorite places to get tacos if it all depended on how it taste. However, with the amount of poor customer service I’ve received, and recently being ignored today after paying for my Togo food, I chose to come here and express my frustration. After receiving my food, the woman at the window literally shut the door at my face. She then proceeded to walk towards a door inside the restaurant, turned around, saw me wave to get her attention and chose to ignore me. There’s a little window on that same door, where I could see her pink hat just standing there. Another worker walked passed, she opened said door for her and before she walked in, she made eye contact with me. Leaving me to believe she obviously knew I was there. I called the restaurant from my car, still at the window and saw both ladies walk out almost immediately. I then hung up the phone and waved again. I simply wanted extra sauce. My experience with customer service is that when you hand the food to the driver, you ask if there’s anything else they need. Furthermore, when I asked for an extra sauce, she stated “there’s 4 in the bag” while shutting the window. I expressed I see what’s in the bag and it’s actually 3. She implied that I was lying, but didn’t recognize I was trying to pay for the extra sauces. I ordered 8 tacos. I’m not sure who eats 8 tacos with only 3 sauces but it’s not me. I’m more than willing to pay for something that I ask, but I refuse to be called a liar and ignored at an establishment I go to regularly. The way I was treated today was very rude and distasteful. No matter how good the food may be, hospitality...

Postmates order

I'll start by saying I ordered quite a lot of variety as the prices are so cheap!!!

Adobaba Burrito - huge for $4, very tasty, could use some cojita cheese added. 5/5

Picadillo Taco - $1!! But fell apart from grease. didnt eat it. 1/5

Chicken Enchilada - Very good and affordable, comes with just okay beans and rice. 4/5

Spicy Shrimp Tostada - super fresh, well cleaned shrimp. If you like shrimp cocktail you will like this, although a little hard (sloppy) to eat. Best thing i had. 5/5

Barbacoa Sope - i did not like this, the flavor was odd, go for the gorditas instead.

Rolled Tacos - chicken and cheese taquitos, nice crispy shell, but inside was super dry & bland. 2/5 could reach 3 or 4 if you smother with sour cream or queso lol.

Al Pastor Gordita - is what i ordered... but i got a chorizo gordita and i was not upset about it. This thing was delicious, their chorizo is glorious but your stool will turn bright red.. be warned! lol. 5/5

Chorizo street taco - so cheap and so good. 4/5

Basically somethings are great, somethings are okay, and somethings didnt go well. So hard to rate this place overall, but i would...

I visited this restaurant with expectations of experiencing California-style Mexican cuisine, but unfortunately, I was left disappointed.

Upon entering, I immediately noticed a lack of cleanliness. An employee, who later took my order, was inattentively lying on one of the benches. My order of carne asada fries was underwhelming. The carne asada had a peculiar, almost fresh smell that was off-putting, and the flavor was mediocre and temperatures were lukewarm. The accompanying salsa verde lacked any distinct taste, adding to my dissatisfaction with the meal while the cheese remained cold and never melted. I couldn’t get the taste and smell of the meat out of my mouth for several hours and it seemed like it was either old or reheated. Whatever the cause, it was gross.

Reflecting on the experience, I regret not heeding the caution from previous reviews. The restaurant’s name might suggest a certain culinary standard, but the actual quality and flavors failed to meet expectations. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on returning. I can’t recall the last time I’ve disliked a...
