Denise's Place — Restaurant in Irvington

Update: I paid for fried Turkey as usual drive a long way there to pick up and a long way home just to notice that it’s burnt bones and chicken. There is no way they don’t notice that they gave me fried chicken instead of turkey. I’ve been noticing little things that had been off with this place lately and I for sure will not be coming back this was the last draw for me. I stick to places that I know but now it’s time to find another place. When you start doing little things to every order that’s my sign to stop supporting.

Edit: When I got home, I warmed the food up and ate it. After warming, the chicken WAS stewed, and was so flavorful.. Food was delicious!

I stopped here for my lunch while on route with my job. The customer service is good! The food was ok tho. I got a small stew chicken, and the chicken wasn’t really stewed. My was very cold, as if it has been in the fridge, but my rice and beans were fresh and hot. Wasn’t digging that. Also the chicken wasn’t as flavorful as I thought it was going to be. Expensive- Disrespectful- I bought a $40 fish there I realized when I get home there was no plaintain I called them the next day because it was a bit late that night … to ask like was there no plaintain or did you guys made a mistake and gave me one that another client said no plaintain?!
