Day Drippin Coffee — Restaurant in Islamorada

Dude. Totally. Like come on man. Your entire business is based around beverages yet what you serve can’t be drank. Like come on dude, ordered the frap and between the straw being the diameter of a cocktail straw and the frap not being blended enough I found myself a mile down the road picking up the drink, pulling hard and getting nothing but cheek, and setting it back down leaving me as cottonmouth as before. Like isn’t the whole point of selling beverages is that your customers can drink them?? I don’t know man it was just kinda a bummer when the straw provided wasn’t sufficient enough to get a tasty lurp lurp you know what I’m sayin?? We need bigger straws dude and we need em like yesterday. Love the name, don’t love the execution. Could you imagine day drippin and craving some tasty fries but every time you put one to your mouth a darn seagull swooped down (whipash!) and took it at the last second. Then you say all its all good Mr. Seagull you deserve a fry too then you try again and WHIPASH!! Another missing fry, another attempt at satisfying a tastebud and belly that goes array. “Oh, I’m thirsty…sippppp, all cheek, all straw, no coffee.” “Oh man bummer dude.” Oh I know! I’ll let it melt a lil then I’ll be able to get some through the teeny tiny little straw. (Wrong) it’s now been 30 minutes and all I’m getting is melted ice very watered down coffee with a hint of chocolate. It’s practically a luke warm yoohoo at this point that I still can’t even enjoy cause of the FREAKING STRAW. Anyways, sorry for like yelling man but maybe let’s get some bigger straws or something. Unfortunately I, just as everyone else it appears, really struggled to find a singular complaint. Both staff members we saw were super helpful and in an excellent mood despite the fact they had to work on such a spectacular day for shenanigans. Truly, this is definitely our coffee spot when we come down for vacation. When I was a dive instructor here nearly a decade ago I would have loved having Day Drippin Coffee on my commute.
