Capt. Easy Charters — Local services in Islamorada

We got lucky about 14 years ago and stumbled upon Capt Bruce/Capt Easy online! Once we went out once, it turned into a handful of times pretty quickly! We are in PBC, so we even did a small company bonding years ago fishing with Capt Bruce! His name always stuck with us as we never had anything short of the best time fishing with him! Always got great fish and had a great time!! Years passed by and we decided to take the kids down to Islamorada! (Last time we went out with him, we weren’t even married yet!!) I googled a random charter, I called them and they told me they couldn’t accommodate us but to call his buddy…. Capt Bruce!! (Not so sure why I didn’t call him first besides it had been 14 years) I was soooooo happy to hear that he was still in the business and texted immediately!!! Capt Bruce remembered us from that long ago (even what we did for work then) and was super accommodating in fitting us in!!! Since then, I surprised my husband for his birthday with a weekend full of fishing with our boys down in Islamorada with Capt Bruce! He had the best weekend and they brought me back clean and skinned fish to cook for them! We are planning to go again soon! There’s no one better in Islamorada… than Capt Easy!!!! The kids can’t...

My wife and I have been on a number of charters over the years. While most have been good experiences this one ranks right at the top. Captain Bruce worked relentlessly from netting the bait at the start of the day through filleting our catch at the end. He never stopped working to make our trip successful. We started on the reef and soon we were catching Yellowtail. Bruce is very personable and offered a wealth of info about both the fish and what techniques might work for us as we tried several. After getting close to our limit on Yellowtail we tried some deeper fishing. Again Bruce gave us the info and techniques which resulted in more action, but this time with much larger fish. I'd also like to add that his boat was comfortable and well suited for the job at hand. His tackle was also in good repair and performed as it should with no issues. In the end we had caught a nice variety of species resulting in some memorable fights and a full cooler. What more could one ask for? We are already looking forward to our next trip with...

First of all, if you want to go with a Captain who is PASSIONATE about fishing..Capt. Bruce and first mate Mike are you Guys!! This was way more than a job to them. Captain Bruce knows his stuff. We had such a great experience with them the first day, we booked another full day charter with them a day later. We experienced several different fishing techniques. We caught a wide variety of fish both days. Snapper, Mackerel, Grouper, Jacks. We left the island with two coolers full of fish to bring back home. Mike worked his tail off for us. They were both, pleasurable to be around, I was very comfortable with both of them. Seriously, if your wanting a good time, plenty of fish..Captain Easy Charters is the way to go.
