Bobae Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Issaquah

All the staff here was super friendly and informative on their menu as I had a few questions as this is a unique coffee and bubble tea shop! I also kept an eye on their social media to see when they would have their popular donuts. Luckily, our cashier immediately pointed out that we came on a good day as they had those donuts and each one looked amazing that day.

I got two of their limited time specials which was a Orange Creamsicle and Lavender orange creamsicle donut as well as a strawberry kimono flat croissant. My boyfriend got the house-made lavender latte. Everything was super delicious and just be aware that the donuts are really sweet! Our drinks were made to perfection accommodating our specifications.

Despite the small location, they had quite a bit of chairs and tables inside. I saw lots of people taking a seat while waiting for their order, having a casual chat with a friend or studying. We were just informed about Bobae in Issaquah so we tried it out today. We walked in to a worker talking to a customer about writing a review for her, as they are having a contest. This worker was on break, sitting in a chair. I so wish I had her name.

We ordered from the cashier, she was super knowledgeable, super nice, super patient and super helpful! I wish I had her name as well. The cashier and barista were very busy. I was looking for a napkin and couldn’t find one. So, I asked the worker (on break), that was sitting at table right by the counter, if they had napkins. Her response, “oh, I’m on break.” Excuse me?!?!?! I wasn’t asking you to go grab me one, I was asking where they were. So, I had to ask where they were and she told me I asked them behind the counter, they are back there. The drinks were super good and we will be back but I was taken back by the worker on break. Bobae is the newest bubble tea shop in the area. I used to go to Happy Lemon a lot (but still go there once a month for their bubble waffles.) Then Rabbit Rabbit opened up and their milk tea tasted more authentic than Happy Lemon. I still go there a couple of times a month because you can get a nice discount during happy hour on Doordash. Then Timeless Tea opened up and their milk tea Rabbit (just tasted more authentic and their boba wasn't as hard as Rabbit.)

I had gone to Bobae up in Woodinville years ago and remembered it tasting very legit. I was glad the Issaquah location finally showed up on Doordash and so I promptly ordered their bobaejicha with boba. At first taste, you can tell it's made with real tea. I chose 25% sugar and it's truly 25% - very subtle sweetness to it. The boba was very big, soft and chewy. I couldn't be happier with my drink. I'll definitely be trying out more of their menu in the months to come. This is easily the best boba tea in Seattle, ever since Drive Thru Boba...
