Still disappointed with what I witnessed at your coffee shop today, January 25th, between 5:00-5:15 PM.
While seated in the shop, I observed a person of color (lady) enter and approach the barista (hair had prominent bangs). Unfortunately, she was not greeted at all, despite being the only customer waiting. Shortly thereafter, a white male customer entered, and the barista immediately welcomed him with a friendly greeting and offer of assistance.
This stark difference in treatment was UPSETTING to witness in our own friendly neighborhood!! As a customer who values inclusivity and equality, I find it unacceptable that someone entering your coffee shop would be disregarded in such manner. There was a noticeable difference in the level of courtesy and engagement the barista demonstrated towards different customers. This inconsistency raises concerns about potential bias
The woman who was initially ignored remained polite and made a purchase. It was so unfair to witness the situation.
I hope you will take my feedback seriously incident between 5:00-5:15 PM today may provide valuable insight.
It's important to remember that all customers deserve respectful and equal treatment, regardless of their background. Building a welcoming environment for everyone contributes to your business's success and reflects positively on its values.
I urge you to address this issue and implement practices that ensure consistent positive experiences for all...
Read moreI get coffee here all the time. I think the espresso itself is 8/10 but I really like a strong coffee taste in my lattes so maybe it’s just my preference. The seasonal flavors are on point and I like that they don’t add sugar to a lot of their stuff such as matcha powder and pumpkin purée. The staff is always very friendly even when it gets busy. My only complaint is that the espresso machines that they use don’t tell the baristas the temperature of the milk. So if you get a latte when they are busy you are almost guaranteed to get a slightly warm latte since they are in such a rush to pump out the drinks (I can’t blame the baristas, it’d be very difficult to get all the drinks the same temperature when lines are going out the door). I blame this on whoever is running the place. They should fork over a decent amount of money to get an espresso machine that tells the baristas the temperature of the milk. You might think it’s not that big of an issue but when it’s 40 degrees outside you don’t go to a coffee shop for a luke warm drink... the owners should know better if they’ve ever been a barista in their lifetime... this place would be 5 stars if they just fixed that rather large issue. I probably won’t be coming here again unless it’s at an off-time because I don’t want to pay $5 for a luke warm drink. Steer clear of here during peak hours until they get a temperature gauge for...
Read moreBeen coming to ICC, (yeah that's what the cool cats call it) since it opened up many many years ago. And like anything it takes a bit to get a hang of things, but my family and I have always been loyal to Ryan (the owner) and his crew. On any given day I can walk through the door and they know exactly what my wife and I are having. Seriously, they're that good. By the time I'm done signing the credit card charge receipt they have my coffee waiting at the end of the counter.
Ive heard people say they're rude... But I don't know what planet they were on. These guys always ask my family, my health, plans, and everything in between. They are the best. As for the coffee, every batista is going to be a bit different. But consistently I'd say the coffee is great. My cougar mountain latte is always nice and foamy and the shots are poured perfectly. They use Stumptown coffee which is way better than Starbucks burnt roast. The coffee tastes strong and distinguished without it being bitter. The pastries are all locally sourced. Ryan works with local bakers and pastry shops which is amazing. I love supporting local businesses. These guys are totally local and I'll give them my money way over going to Starbucks greedy enterprise. Support local, drink good coffee,...
