The rocky top mcdonalds usually comes through everytime with great food but ive noticed a huge problem as far as management is concernes on how they treat certain customers.the main store manager who is an older woman, has been at this location for a pretty long time now so i know ahe is familiar with the local people.for some reason she has a thing for the local homeless community that ive noticed and it is extremely disturbing. If a truck driver was to walk in with only 2 dollars she would more than likely sell him a couple cheeseburgers for 2 dollars and if he was short on buying himself a 1 dollar large coke she would probably make sure to give that truck driver a large cup and tell him to help himself and allow him to sit there as long as he wanted to even if it was from the time the store opened until the time the store closed.now lets say a homeless couple were to walk in rigjt after this truck driver.this manager would immediately change her whole personality and then would alert her staff about the homeless customers.she would narely even speak to these folks and ive noticed many times she wont even wait on these customers personally she will make another employee do it.now this couple has the same 2 dollars as the truck driver had.they are both local people.drug use or no drug use doesnt matter because the bottom line is nobody is perfect and everyone has problems but all should be treated equally.if the couple asked for 2 cheeseburgers that is exactly what they would get but the problem here is that if they asked for a water cup to share between them they would most definately be prompted to pay for it immediately and on the rare occasion which i have also witnessed personally many times,an employee were to give these folks a couple cups and say help yourselves the manager would be very upset.when the couple sits down it is almost like they are placed on a timer...obviously they have no place to go and are local people but that doesnt matter to this manager because her clock has started ticking and she means buisiness.after some time goes by the mamager or whoever she asks always makes it known to anyone who is homeless that mcdonalds is not a hangout it is a place of buisiness....now yall tell me whats wrong with this picture.my wife and i went in tonight to eat and witnessed another shift manager talking to a lady in the lobby like she was a dog and when the manager walked away she kept glamcing back at the lady amd the manager started whispering to her employees.if she is anything at all lile her boss i already know...she called the police to make this woman leave and all she was doing was putting her sweatshirt on so she could go outside and in the process she touched a table unknowingly and the manager immediately belted out to this woman from across the store to stay off of the table making it obvious she was already watching this poor woman who was actually not local and...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend were going through the drive through and we ordered our food and the total was $14.63. We had two stacks of money - one with $14 and another with $65. While my girlfriend was reaching in our change jar to get $0.75 for the $0.63 she accidentally gave me the $65 with the $0.75 and I gave it to the drive through cashier Heather. Heather closed the window and then opened it back up and asked “how much did y’all just give me?” Assuming we gave her the $14.75 we said $14.75, not knowing what mistake we had just made. A bit down the road we were counting our money and realized what mistake we had made. We went to the McDonald’s and spoke to the manager Melissa. Melissa said she counted the drawer and it came out even, which meant Heather pocketed our money. The supervisor won’t be able to pull the camera feed until the morning so we got the law involved. I did not trust the cashier for stealing from me, did not trust the manager to be honest with me, so I got the law involved. There is nothing the law can do until tomorrow morning. We should be reimbursed our money, with a SINCERE apology for making me jump through hoops to get my money back. Heather should be terminated for lack of integrity, respect, and honesty. She has caused me a great ordeal of stress and a major headache to get back money from a simple mistake. She did not even type the money we gave her into the ticket, which is why she asked how much we gave her even though she had the money in her hand. I am ashamed to even be seen eating at this establishment where I feel I was robbed of my money and a good night out with my girlfriend. I sincerely hope McDonald’s takes action, and does a better job at selecting its employees. I will never eat at Jacksboro...
Read moreI usually don't have really negative or really positive experiences at fast food restaurants but I had a really good experience today. It wasn't anything major but with all the flak retail and restaurant workers get I believe when someone has a positive experience then the worker deserves recognition. I didn't catch his name but when I later called I was told "That sounds like Jackson".
So, Jackson thank you for being a kind person and great at your job.
Today I used the app for the first time for curbside pickup. I ordered a Grand Mcextreme Bacon Burger which is a specialty burger with Gouda and some kind of McBacon sauce. I added onions, pickle, tomato and leaf lettuce to it.
When I got there to get my order Jackson came out and said he was sorry but they do not and have not had that burger. Right away he was a cheery and kind young man. He asked if I would like something else and I said sure. While taking a second to think of a replacement, he quickly recommends a bacon quarter pounder with cheese and then add lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Unfortunately they don't have the Bacon sauce or Gouda but that's okay.
When he brought out my food, still very kind, he mentions he put leaf lettuce. I said that's great because that's what I wanted on the original burger!
So once again thank you Jackson for quickly coming up with a great solution to the issue while being very kind. It may not seem like a big deal to most people but it brought a bit of joy to my day with...
