I hope the kinks get worked out but I have a feeling this ones not going to last long.
The order taker was wearing a mask and you couldn't hear a word he said. I have less trouble communicating in small villages in Mexico than I did to this young man. (This is maybe just me but when did it become okay for the person that stands behind a counter and just takes orders to request a tip? Have you ever tipped at McDonald's? So why would I tip here it's the exact same setup. ) Let's call that strike #1.
The food took nearly 20 minutes to come out. Which seems odd since the kitchen staff easily out numbered the customers. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but this is setup like a fast food restaurant and only two people at our table had the extended food delay. Let's call that strike #2.
The the main attraction the food finally arrived. I can truly say the sausage gravy was incredibly tasteless, which is odd because it actually has a spicy edge. So how you some how make a spicy gravy bland is beyond me. The Shitake Gravy, thier vegetarian option, was indistinguishable from the bland slightly spicy sausage gravy. All three of us could not distinguish between the two. The Biscuits are dense and a little doughy. The Omelt made on a waffle press was unremarkable. We all thought the waffle maker omelt would be more than a gimmick but truly it makes no improvement and in fact over cooks the eggs slightly. The hand made chips would be okay buy they drizzle maple syrup on them. Both odd and sticky to eat. The only food savior was the chicken tenders. They are actually pretty good. The potato chip batter used could use a fair amount of salt. But the chicken it's self was really pretty good. The cinnamon roll was pretty good. Not a Cinnabon but still pretty good. Let's call the food a foul ball over the left field wall.
After we finished eating we flagged down a staff member and asked if they had a box for our leftovers. She said yes and started clearing the table. So we asked if we could have one . She says oh you want one? Not sure if it was supposed to be funny or not it was delivered completely dry. We are calling this a foul ball as well but it was darn close to a strike.
So let's examine the monetary damages. So for 3 meals, an added cinnamon roll, a little shitake gravey on the side to see if we liked it, and three soft drinks it was just under 55 dollars. I know we have had an inflation problem since 2020 but 55 dollars for three breakfast orders seems kind of steep. Especially for a place I have to stand at a counter to order , then serve my own drinks, and seat myself. Definitely a strike # 3.
Over all this is a skip don't bother. If you really want to try it do it fast because with 15 employees working to serve 15 patrons it won't be here long.
Sorry for the bad review .... I honestly seldom give bad reviews but our experience was not good. The staff was difficult to understand and flippant. The food was way below average. The price was exorbitant for what you...
Read moreI had the pleasure of trying the new Maple Street Biscuit Company this morning.
This new location is in Canton Ohio right next to the Meijer on Fulton Road.
The atmosphere was upbeat, yet relaxed at the same time. This location has only been open for about a week, so I was expecting some hiccups and was prepared to be extra patient.
The style is fast casual, so being somewhat familiar with the menu before you arrive is a plus. We were greeted by a very friendly employee who offered to go over the menu with us and encouraged us to ask questions and not feel rushed. They had lots of employees working doing various jobs, and since the kitchen is kind of an open kitchen you get to see the biscuits being made and everyone being very busy.
We decided to get the Smashbrowns (amazing choice) which are crispy potato and green onion smashed hash browns. They were served with a delicious ranch and I'm glad we only got 4 because I could have eaten like 6 of those things. Highly recommend getting these.
For my main dish, I got the Sticky Maple Biscuit which came with chicken and bacon on their homemade biscuit then covered in maple syrup.
The chicken had a nice crisp as well as a good spice, while the bacon was perfectly cooked and added a great saltiness to the sweet and spicy maple chicken. The biscuit was delicious and tasted like it was just pulled from the oven. Very fresh.
I chose to also get the maple vanilla iced coffee, and I'll be honest. If I lived near there, I would go JUST for the coffee. It was outstanding.
The seating was nice and spacious, and they also offer patio dining.
One area that I found particularly unique was the coffee station. If you order coffee, you have the option to refill it and customize it to your liking. But they also have an ICED coffee dispenser so you can refill your iced coffee. I don't think I've ever seen that anywhere before and I fell in love with it. More places need to offer this because having that alone will guarantee I come back.
Overall I had a great experience and I was very impressed with how well everything was running for being so new. All of the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. There's not much more you could ask for.

Read moreMy daughter and I were very excited to stop in and finally get to try this place out. To say we were extremely disappointed is an understatement. The foh had many opened tables but were all dirty, either with empty plates or yet to be wiped off. The drink station was soaking wet and had yet to be wiped free of all the empty lids, straw papers and cups. Trash was over flowing and so were the dirty dishes. As the door to the back was propped open you could clearly see in the back how unorganized and dirty it was. The boh was extremely filthy. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept all day, there was food piled up in a corner and there was trash on the cutting boards were employees were preparing food items. We were hoping despite all of the issues we could see that we would be blown away with our food. We were wrong. I ordered the Retro biscuit and when it came out it was cold. My cheese wasn't even melted, it looked like it had just been placed on top and sent on its way. My daughter ordered the 4 piece Crispin and each piece was fatty. To top it all off we each got a side of ranch except it wasn't ranch. We were given your jalapeño ranch. The container wasn't marked and neither one of us had any idea until we put it in our mouths. You could imagine our surprise. When I brought it to a food runners attention they simply replied with "yeaaaa like we just ran out of ranch". Thats understandable but then you should alert the customer not replace it with something completely different. Thankfully neither one of us have any food allergies. Im not sure if it was a manager or crew member that I talked to but they seemed not to care about any of our issues. You have A LOT of competition in Beldon Village and if you continue on the path you're on im afraid you won't last long. Super disappointed and definitely NOT worth the $25.29 I had to pay. Will not be...
