Meijer — Local services in Jackson Township

I have shopped at this store since they opened. This past week was the last time I will give this store my business. I like the prices and selection. Shopping in the store is awful. Huge lines at the checkout. I literally waited 45 minutes in a line at 2pm in the afternoon during the week, on more than one occasion. I began ordering groceries online. At first it was great, but then it got so I was waiting 30 minutes, 60 minutes even 90 minutes for my order. I was called several times and asked if I could come several hours later. I understand that businesses are struggling with staff shortages and always tried to be understanding and polite. The staff was always apologetic. The last straw was when my estimated total and what I was charged was $29 off. I went into the store and went through the items I ordered line by line with the pick up manager. It was obvious that none of the sale prices rang up, I was charged full price for everything. I was in the store 1 hour & 22 minutes trying to get this sorted out. Finally I said I had to go, I had food in my car that was defrosting. I was told the store manger would call me. The store manager did call me back… I was told she would leave a $30 gift card at the service desk for me. I don’t understand why I couldn’t be refunded… but I shopped there weekly so figured it all equaled out. I went to pick up the gift card, and it was not at the service desk. The girl at the service counter texted the manger. I waited 20 minutes with no response, so I left. I then emailed the store with no response. I am done with this store! I’m going back to Buehlers where they have amazing customer service and sale prices always ring...

I will say the staff were very apologetic but I went there to grab my kids WIC items since I was out and about. When checking out the cashier asked if it was WIC. I said yes and so after she rang everything up she did her thing to make it for me to put my WIC card in. WIC takes off what they needed to take off and it shows the remainder of what I needed to pay. As I am getting ready to put in my card, something in their system puts the WIC back on. They have me try to do my WIC card again which doesn’t take off what it did because come to find out when it took it off at the beginning of the transaction it took the benefits off my card. I was told since they were no longer on my card I needed to get ahold of WIC to “see if they could put it back” which they are not doing anymore. I have contacted customer service as it was a mess up on their end I have a receipt that clearly shows it taken off and what I was left to pay before their system screwed up. I had to leave everything as they said there was nothing they could do. I am waiting to hear from their store director which I was told 3 days ago I would hear from “directly” so please beware if you are shopping there with your WIC that they will not do anything if their system takes it off and then screws up. Edit to add (3 stars) a store director did get ahold of me and is making things right and did thank me for letting them know about their system. Still makes me nervous to shop there for WIC as I do not want the same thing to happen but I will say they do strive for customer...

It was ok...I was looking for lamp shapes, didn't have, I kind of thought it was like a Target or Walmart. Very small section for like hardware-nails, things like that. I did They have a big cosmetic and body care section. I went over to the grocery part....just took a few glances. Their prices on some things were high even compared to Giant Eagle. Didn't have really much time to look at groceries though. However, my mom went there a few weeks ago and said their groceries were higher than some places. If you download their app you automatically get $10.00 off a purchase....so I did make out bc I got a coupon in the mail for $10.00 off of $30, I bought my mom a bona spray mop that was like 34.99, and only ended up paying like $15 and some change, bc I had the coupon, then the cashier said I saved $20.00! I asked how, that is when she said bc you have the app, you saved another 10.00. She was not extremely friendly either, but again you get that everywhere. Also, I was going to buy liquid gold, furniture polish, which works amazing! But told her I didn't want it bc it was in a much smaller spray can, than I buy at Lowe's- it was 6.97. Lowe's has a double the size one for less...but it may have gone up but it was like 4.97 at Lowe's before. So even if it went up $2.00 I will get twice the size of what they had a Meijer. Overall, store is clean. I expected they would have houseplants bc they have a garden center, which they didn't. Just overall I thought a lot of stuff was more money than other places. I don't think I will go...
