12-2-22 review.
This was our very first and our very last visit here. We love when new places open up in the area and go to support them and their new adventures, unfortunately this new establishment has a rating of 2..7 and will continue to likely drop.
We arrived in the evening to a drive thru of maybe five cars, we spent 24 minutes in the drive thru for the “Hungry Meal” which included 7 tenders, “Texas toast” a drink of lemonade and sauces.
The tenders were nothing more than the Tenders at Dairy Queen, only costed much more. The Texas Toast was so thin, and nothing more than regular bread, nothing Texas about it. We also ordered Mac n Cheese.
I wanted lemonade as my drink, there was an up charge of .75 for lemonade, and I will warn you NOT to choose this drink as it’s nothing more than NASTY Splenda filled, in which will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Once we arrived at the window, we spent approximately 10 minutes at the window waiting on Mac and cheese, we received no apology for the time, no explanation, nothing. Keep in mind we ordered only ONE Meal. The Mac and Cheese is nothing more than Mac and cheese frozen from Bob Evans that you can buy from Walmart, etc.
The meal ran us $20 for one meal, it was NOT worth it at all. Please look at the TINY tender added in the pictures below. like what? 😂🤦🏻.
I’d like to add, the manager, two other employees standing around staring at the screen near the drive thru, why not actually get something done, support the staff, rather than stare at a screen, DO WORK.
Lastly, I’d like to add that how pathetic it was that they made this young kind lady stand out in the wind, cold, and take orders from a tablet, which she was so informative, and quick, but why have FOUR employees standing around inside near the drive thru doing practically nothing, wearing headsets, yet have this lady stand outside in the elements, keep in mind, this isn’t Chik Fil A, there is no warmers or anything.
It took 24 minutes to receive the order, it took about 2 minutes to order the food, unacceptable. Your COLD employee should have been inside, there was no reason to have her out in the elements when after ordering it still took 22 minutes to receive our order.
Unless you’ll have a warmer outside, a building or pop up of some sort, don’t make your employees stand outside.
As always, this is our take, go try it for yourselves, maybe you’ll enjoy their subpar “Southern Food”, in which this isn’t close to anything Southern.
I’ll still with Chik fil A and...
Read moreMy own personal opinion is that I believe this place is overhyped. See all kinds of signs about how fresh the food is, and they make it visually appealing. I'm not sure if it was because my kids and I got there later in the evening, but the food was definitely not fresh. I ordered some wings and fries, my son ordered chicken and waffles, and my other son ordered a classic chicken sandwich. The classic chicken sandwich was the winner of the three items I purchased for us to eat. The wings I ordered were tepid at best and the fries chewed like they were sitting in a heating tray for an excessive amount of time. I can only imagine it was probably the same with the wings. I asked the cashier for mild wings, but she looked at me puzzled as if she didn't understand what I was wanting. She couldn't even suggest anything along the line of mild hot wings. So I just went with garlic parmesan. The wings were full of broken bones, but the sauce was not too bad, and at least the wings were meaty. Even though they were not fresh and more so on the colder side, I still ate them, because... well, I was hungry. My son said the chicken and waffles were okay, but he had a hard time cutting through the chicken and waffles with a plastic knife... Yes the serveware is plastic. My other son smashed his classic chicken sandwich with big smiles. He said it was delicious. However, the only hang up were the fries were warm and old. I'm sure I'll be back again, and that'll give me a better perspective of how the food is. But for now, I can say that I wasn't...
Read moreI take my husband to Slims in Canton at least twice a week. He usually, always gets the Classic Chicken Sandwich meal, which he loves. I took him there last weekend to get his Classic Chicken Sandwich meal and he was very upset when he got home to find two small tenders on a dry bun. I then took him there last night to get the same thing, Classic Chicken Meal, and he told me to wait at the window so he could check his sandwich this time. Omg he was so mad to find, yet again, two small tenders on his bun. So I motioned for the lady to come back to the window. She opened the window and I asked her, “Did you guys change your Classic Chicken Meal or something, because there’s only like two small tenders on this bun”! The lady replied “ yes I’m so sorry we don’t have the Classic Chicken sandwich anymore”. My husband was furious so we called the other stores in Ohio to find out if what she said was true, and come to find out, the lady lied. Slims is my husbands favorite place to eat, but after that lady quickly took our debit card, and handed our food out the window so quickly, then lieraight to our faces, I’m not sure if he will ever eat there again. We were use to waiting for maybe five minutes after we pay, because he always...
