I'm a bit confused about their buying policy.
First off everyone working was decently friendly and the store was very neat. I enjoyed walking through. I also love that they donate their extras to a local church.
The first time going in the store I noticed that they were selling Louis Vuitton bags. The LV bags were listed at a decent resale price of about $500. Seeing that they take luxury branded items, I decided to bring in some of my own pieces.
When going in to sell, I asked the lady to clarify to me how they choose items to purchase. She informed me that they select items that are in style and are not older than a year. When waiting for my items, I received an email offering me $18. I then went in to retrieve my items, and I was shown three dresses that they were interested in purchasing: a Herve Leger dress, a Self Portrait dress, and a 100% all silk formal dress. All of the items that I brought in that day were luxury brands that originally retailed between $400 to $1,000. I kindly declined their offer, but I'm still confused on how the store chooses their buying prices.
I understand if the store hadn't heard of the brands before, and thats why they offered me such a low price. -But if the store was aware of the original retail values of the brands I brought in, than they should've also known that they were offering me less than 10% of one of my items for all three.
I'll definitely be back in to shop at this fun resale store, but I won't be bringing higher priced...
Read moreI want to preface: The employees are always helpful and kind to me and the store is well-organized and clean even on busy days. I really appreciate that about this location.
This place used to be my favorite store when they first opened. They had so much & offered Free People, Express, & other nice brands. They had clothing for young adults, perfect for 18-30 years old in styles of all kinds. I could find stuff for cute office/work style, going out, casual wear, & loungewear.
Unfortunately within the last year, I don’t think I’ve bought a single item here. They don’t seem to “buy” items like they used to. The items are almost entirely micro-trend, fast-fashion now. The brands are cheaper, seem more teen-focused, or are more like, clubbing outfits. I miss the variety that used to be here in the women’s section.
Also, the men’s XL/XXL sections are almost non-existent and we brought in a ton of excellent-used-condition, young-adult-male items and not a single thing was taken, which is surprising because those sections are always barren.
If this store could go back to how it was the first 1-2 years it was opened, I would be spending so much more...
Read moreI love this store as far as fashionable highend thift you will definitely find some pieces. But when it goes for selling items you’re better off selling on social media first they are very weird and choosey off how much they purchase idk kinda like discrimination. I took a brand new pair of AKIRA heels all black very trendy style that I couldn’t fit because they were too big that I paid $60 they offered me $4 in cash or $5 in store credit what a joke . They weren’t gently used they were BRAND NEW but Ive looked around and seen stains on items you guys have taken and or items that shouldnt of made the floor if were really talking quality , style , & trendy IM A GIRLY GIRLY I GET DRESSED I HAVE STYLE . That was extreme LOW ball . I would really like to know the rules or how you guys decide off purchase . Whosever judgement on my items needs questioned! Im also willing to show my proof of purchase . I hate companies or places that get over but charge top dollar . I guarantee my heels wouldve couldve sold back out for $60...
