During my visit to Jackson, TN to see family, I was excited to find a local business called Grubb's that specialized in fresh juice drinks. However, my experience left me extremely disappointed. Despite the inviting decor and design that conveyed wholesomeness and freshness, the lack of customer care was evident. The young lady serving seemed more focused on completing her morning tasks than on crafting a quality fruit drink.
To make matters worse, I observed her haphazardly handling the oranges, as if it were a burden when I inquired about the specific type being used for my order. The juice bar worker's disregard for customer satisfaction was evident, and I couldn't tell if the disdainful look on her face was directed at me or her current circumstances. For future family visits when I crave fresh juice, I certainly won't be returning to Grubb's, nor can I encourage...
Read moreGrubbs is like an old time neighborhood small market I grew up with in the 70s in Kansas. It's nostalgic for me to shop here. Waaaaaay in the back corner behind the sandwich counter section, they have an open fridge that always has a great selection of meals ready to go and things like chicken salad and veggies in individual size portions and individually wrapped desserts. If you buy 5 of the fresh baked cookies up front near the cashier, you get a 6th one free & let me tell you, they are DELICIOUS. They have a cool organic ingredient kiosk mid store where you can scoop out as much or little of things like beans/rice/ Spirulina (blue green algae good for digestion/antioxidants ) into a bag. The few times I've asked for help an employee will always hop to it and show you, or get you another employee that does know exactly where it's at. This is a great little...
Read moreOverpriced. 20-25% more than shopping at Whole Foods.
Customer service was abysmal. You have to summon someone with a bell ringer to check out.
Then had a discounted item ring up full price and when I asked why it was not discounted she shrugged and said idk. Wanted me to pay full price. I had to ask several times for someone else to come fix the issue. On my girlfriend’s first visit she was overcharged as well. She is much too nice and didn’t say anything.
Finally the prepped sandwiches. $7.99 and “made fresh daily” looked like something you get handed out during school lunch. Bread was soggy, lettuce wilted, and maybe half a serving of meat and cheese.
I love going to health food stores and don’t mind paying premium for it but Grubbs has to do much better for what...
