We ordered a cheese pizza for our child who hates pepperoni. The pizza came out with pepperoni. We had to wait for it to be replaced and it came out with burnt cheese. We asked the manager at the time who typically works at a different location, Brian, to see if we could get the meal taken off the bill because he didn’t eat it and he refused to take it off the bill. He admitted that there was a mistake as the expo brought another table’s food to us. My son is a good kid and even though after taking the pepperoni off, and it pulling most of the cheese off with it, he ate a few bites. I don’t blame him as we all had our food and he was hungry. It took quite a while to get the cheese pizza. He was full by then as we had ordered three apps. He spoke to us like we were ignorant and complaining for no reason. The pizza was only $10 and we spent well over $150. I am not one who usually complains, and it’s not the money, I just feel brushed off and like an idiot because of the way I was spoken to. I’m not angry, just disappointed. I am about to cry. Our server was really nice and kind.

Johnathan Grill is a great place that can hold a lot of people. Beautiful ,new place with an outdoor patio that's great to hang out. The food looks excellent and tastes good. My recommendation is the shrimp egg rolls 10 out of 10 recommend. I also recommend the chicken strips. This place had a video of a specialty restaurant like Olive Garden but with regular food on the menu. Speaking of menu ....it's a vast menu with plenty to choose from. There is something for everyone on the menu. Johnathan is located out north off of FE Wright near Food Giant, The Ball Park, in the same area that you would pass to get to Rose Hill Middle School. Just know they are a new, hopping, hip place... you will wait to be done, and parking is fun to find ❤️. Ne patient, and you won't regret it. This was my first visit here. I'm impressed. Any changes I will update in the future . Enjoy with your family, friends, just passing thru or your perfect date night. Please hit the love button for my review. Thanks.

I've been twice and thought the food was pretty good. The first time, I had the fried pickles with ranch as my appetizer and the shrimp scampi flatbread as my entrée. Both were cooked really well and tasted really good. My issue with that visit were the flies that hung out by the window. There was always one that would fly around my friend and I while we were waiting and eating. The second time, my friend and I sat in the bar area. I just got the rose drink (can't remember what it was called but it was good. Not too much alcohol and not too little) and the lemon basil chicken skewers. The chicken was good and seasoned well. The hummus and pita bread were okay. The cucumber tomato salad that came with it was very good. I would definitely return to try something else.

For the most part, my reviews showcase the best of my experiences… I don’t really like focusing on negatives. But… I am also not willing to mislead others with my dedication to living this life with a pocket full of sunshine. So, here it is. The place has a lot to work on. Some dishes are great, some are not edible, some aren’t served complete, and some aren’t ever received. I have never been so torn on a place like this. I wanted so badly to love it. Couldn’t wait for it to open. It’s beautiful inside & out. Truly. It was designed very well and the style is on point to please a variety of personalities. Comfortable. Solid menu options to accommodate a variety of preferences within your group. Good environment with plenty of room. I still want to like it. But I don’t. Every visit has come with over an hour wait, missing orders, incorrect foods on plates, forgotten drinks, missing sauces or sides or salads, neglectful service… I have examples, y’all. After waiting for over an hour, we checked on our place on the list… they couldn’t find us even though I’d received their text prompt after being placed on the list. There is not enough seating for those waiting… by the way. Every single visit, someone in the party doesn’t receive their meal until 15 minutes after everyone else has. Once, a person’s meal was never served. We had started creating a meal for him out of our dishes. After about 20 minutes, he requested they cancel it. THEN, it came… A different trip, We requested our toddler have chicken tenders (from their verbally delivered kid’s menu) served asap right when we sat down & were ordering drinks. Remember, we’d been waiting for over an hour in our vehicle. She said she could have it within 10/15 min. We were literally served an appetizer, then salads, & then our adult meals first. I had to follow up 3x. When it finally arrived, this kid’s chicken tenders was actually 2 full sized, heavily breaded, chicken breasts that were so badly burned, we had to use a steak knife to saw it open & pluck the chicken off the ash of breading. I’ll be honest, at that point I got a box for my pasta & we left to take our child to get ‘edible’ food from McDonald’s across the street. It was chicken Alfredo & it heats back up very well. If you go, I would offer this to be an enjoyable dish to consider ordering… maybe you will be able to enjoy it while still at the restaurant. Prime rib was served without au jus. Had to request silverware for everyone after meals were served without a way to eat it. Never got dressing for a salad despite asking. Heck, one person never got their salad. My sirloin was served veryyy well done, but was ordered medium. Forget about drink refills without asking twice. Truthfully our waitress the evening of the chicken tenders was very sweet but the waiter the evening of the cancelled meal, he started getting snippy with us when we continued requesting the missing items. I had to bite my tongue once when he snipped under his tongue over the missing meal. Like buddy, we are not paying for food we never received. I’m sure you can go without having a negative experience but that has not been my experience. I truly hope they improve. I have not written them off but it will be a while...

Three (3) to Dine-In on Tuesday early evening...The restaurant was very busy but we were seated immediately-- the Service was fine from start to finish, but there were bumps a plenty on the way. We were seated next to one of the retractable doors that open up to the patio area--this in itself was not the issue...the issue was the multitude of house flies buzzing nonstop around us, on us and trying to grab a snack from us! We ordered and the food was produced quickly and you'll see by the photos, that all was very presentable-- but again "Speed Bump" ahead. The Firecracker Shrimp Eggrolls looked amazing but lacked any flavor with the exception of the Yum Yum sauce on the plate...Chewy and lukewarm not memorable outside of presentation. The Hot Chicken Dip was remarkably bland not reaching the status of mild and it was barely lukewarm. The Steak was ordered Medium-- it came out Well Done... The potato was very good however. They redeemed themselves with the Steak being re-fired and delivered a Perfect Medium and it was extremely good. I have no issues with restaurant costs if the food attempts to live up to the standard they profess-- So in closing i would say they were a 5 out of10 with alot of room to improve. The final bill although expected was enhanced by what they are calling a "Hospitality Charge" this amount although minor was approximately 3%. This is what u'd expect if paying with a Credit Card. We payed with cash and the waitress said this charge is on all transactions. Since it was just short of $3 I let it go-- but if you delve a bit deeper you'll see that they are adding this in leiu of charging only Credit Card customers this charge so as not to appear that anyone is being singled out and all are treated equally!-- this FEE is completely bogus and in truth is unlawful. Be aware that cash customers are being charged to cover expenses not associated...

I was so excited to try Jonathan’s but can’t say I had a good experience at all. Went with 2 folks in my party from Sweden and 3 of us are local from Jackson. We originally were going to sit at the bar area and asked if we could move 2 tables together and was told yes. We go sit down and then someone else comes over and said “it’s rush hour and you can’t put tables together”…even though we asked first. We get a different table in the dining area and one of the Swedish folks orders a beer, showed his Swedish ID, and was told he needed his passport. First off, who just keeps their passport on them?? That’s a huge security risk. Secondly, what information is on there that isn’t on a valid drivers license? So we ask questions and then the waitress says something about “aren’t you guys the Swedish group who were sitting over at the bar?” NO IDEA what that was supposed to mean but I found that extremely rude and uncalled for especially since there was nothing at the bar she was referring to. We didn’t even sit long enough to look at menus let alone order a drink before we were so rudely made to get up. I definitely got a very bad taste regarding this restaurant and to only have mediocre food after those occurrences, yeah, i wouldn’t recommend going here ESPECIALLY if you have someone in your party that is foreign. Good luck, if so. Oh, and waiting for a salad 15 minutes AFTER all other cooked meals were brought out. Save your money and...
