If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. We had a large party, so we expected there to be a wait regarding seating us, gathering our orders and serving our food however, tonight's experience was unacceptable. It took the waitress more than 45 minutes to take our drinks and meal orders.
We received our salads 1 hour after placing our order and didn't get our main entrees until 2 hours after we ordered them. When we did receive our main course, the orders were wrong. In fact, my husband and I ordered our dinner at the same time as ordering our kids' meals, but we received our meal one hour after they received their meals.
We had to ask our waitress and two different managers for our tickets, and when we received them, they were all wrong. To top it all off, the waitress brought another patron's credit card to my husband to sign and when he told her that it wasn't his credit card, she acted as if we were wrong.
Additionally, my steak was rare, and I ordered medium, I ordered one size of a steak and received a smaller one instead, I received one glass of tea but paid for unlimited refills, my side item was incorrect and one of the members of our dinner party found a green bug in her salad. When we tried to discuss all of this with management, we were ignored. One of our party members spoke with the manager of the restaurant because her child never received his order. She told him that she would not be paying for her son's meal because he never received it and he told her the meal was already at the table, when it was not.
I would NEVER recommend anyone eat at this restaurant. Logan's has always been a favorite restaurant for our family, but we will never frequent the Jackson, TN Logan's ever again.
I usually overlook small inconsistencies with service, but I do expect not to have insects in our food, my drinks to be refilled when asked, to receive the correct order and not to have to beg for my ticket to pay. I would expect that there would be some hiccups with service with a group of 24 people, however, I do not expect for every single member of our party to have a problem with their food/service and then to be made to feel as if we were an inconvenience...
Read moreA group of us are traveling by motorcycle through the region. Hopped on having a nice dinner. The service was awful. Our waiter was training a new waiter. The trainer was the problem and he needs to be re trained. It all went downhill at the beginning. There were 5 of us. He brought 4 rolls. After asking twice they finally brought more rolls. Guest #1. The waiter took his drink order. Messed it up twice to where the bartender actually had to come out and take his order. He ordered chicken fried steak with mashed and corn. Didn't get his corn. He asked for it twice. After he was 1/2 way done with his meal the corn finally came. Guest #2. Ordered a filet rare with a baked potato and shrimp. What came was a filet well done with rice. Sent it back and she received her meal (minus the shrimp after others were 1/2 way done.) Repeated time it was mentioned she did not get her shrimp. After everyone was finished eating including guest #2 the shrimp came. Sent it back at this point. Guest #3 (me) ordered a BBQ steak that came with potato salad and cucumber salad. Substituted the cucumber salad for cesar. After everyone was 1/2 done my meal came.....BBQ chicken with fries. The waiter argued that's what I ordered. Made him get a menu to prove what I ordered (cucumber salad did not come with the chicken so how could I substitute something that wasn't there) he realized he messed up the order. The entire group was done eating when the waiter came back out to ask again what my order was. Eventually I told the waiter dont bother. Everyone was done and I still did not have a meal. Spoke to the manager. He said they would discount the table. Got my receipt and would you believe they were charging me for my meal and 2 drinks. Told the manager im not paying it. He took the meal off but didnt comp anything on mine. He comped the other 2 couples. The manager and waiter are a disgrace. Jackson TN. Waiters...
Read moreI was at this restaurant Nov 14th (sat night). HORRIBLE experience. The first red flag of concern was that there was an officer there, working, not eating....walking around like a security guard.....why ??? We eat at restaurants often, never saw this before.....service was the worst ive ever experienced. Sat at our table for 10+ minutes before being acknowledged, we were only because I stopped a waitress and asked nicely "who is our server?" Her reply "me". 2nd red flag. Waitress did NOT know the menu whatsoever....told us they had Pepsi (nope!) and that they didnt have rootbeer (wrong!) We had to educate her on what drinks that had....we sat 5 feet away from a waitress station and could actually SEE the options. 3rd red flag ! When she walked away to get our drinks, I looked at my mom, sister, and daughter and said "lets get out of here".....but we were tired, it was 8pm, and we had waited for a table....so we stayed......(hindsight is always 20/20) We finally get our drinks after another 10-15 min....and we order -- she gives us wrong options on side dishes -- we referred her to the menu -- the food, i had hoped, would be great and somehow make up for all of this. Wrong. My mom's well-done steak was red, not pink, but red inside -- my mom choked down what she could -- she didnt wanna send it back for fear of how long it would take to come back --- no refills -- never offered -- didnt see her after food came ! I got up and walked over to drink station and asked another waitress for more tea. Shrimp was slimy -- the ONLY thing that was good was the steamed broccoli -- we vowed that never would we ever go back --- if Logan's in Jackson was the only restaurant open, i'd buy a .99 frozen pizza and watch Fox news = still a better evening than what...
