Slide & Ride Rodeo — Restaurant in Jackson

I was in town for the weekend, looking for a place to go dancing on a Friday night. After dancing for 10+ years and going to nearly every bar, rodeo and honky tonk in Missouri, I had high hopes for this place. $15 cover, $5 beers. DJ didn't actually start playing music till 11pm. When asked if he took requests, the DJ stated 'requests are $20 per song tonight'. piss poor attitude and customer service.

prices could use some adjustment. $15 +$5/beer is wild, even in STL where I frequent. The DJ could benefit by putting his ego aside and learning how to lead a dance floor. Website says bull riding at 10, 11 & 12. Got there a bit after 8pm. Found out 1st bullride wasn't happening until 11 😡. As far as dancing, unless you line dance, you can forget it. I think I heard ONE song dedicated to anyone who actually knew how to dance with a partner. FINALLY after almost 3 hours, here came the bull riding! We were sooo excited. 1st off, thankfully there are TV's for viewing because the viewing area is the dancefloor or VIP area above. Everyone is nice and polite. There is live bull riding from local people every Friday and Saturday night. Normally 2 rounds of 4-6 riders, rounds are normally at 10 & 11 ish. Cover is $15 it has a great atmosphere. There are 3 separate areas, 1 dance floor/bull riding area, a pool room bar type area, and a live music area. Each has there own bar.
