Its bad enough that Harbor Freight sells primarily Chinese junk, but when the junk is defective right out of the box and they won't take it back that is tantamount to thievery.
Bought my 83-year-old mother a garden sprayer - leaked from a pinhole in the very bottom (center) which is clearly a manufacturing defect. The girl said she couldn't take it back without a receipt so I ask for a manager- who argued with her on the radio and took an unreasonably long time to come up (becuase his time is so much more valuable than mine). He proceeds to tell me that they don't take garden sprayers back and started with some drivel about it being used for a long time (used once). Terrible - horrible attitude for a manager to take with someone that has spends hundreds at Harbor Frieght over the years. Clearly very inexperienced and poorly trained.
Remaining questions - Where is the sign over the sparyaers that states 'No Returns On Sprayers'? (None). The girl at the register thought I was someone who had called earlier to see about a refund for a sprayer that was leaking - obviously a defective batch but instead of standing behind what they sell its just more profitable to push defective Chinese junk onto consumers and then throw up their hands and say they are not allowed to take the defective junk back after it fails on...
Read moreThey have stepped up their game in the battery-powered tool division. But still hire the rudest, unqualified, and uninformed people to sell tools. Make sure you know everything before walking in. They can't even tell you where the hammers are while standing right beside them. However, if you want tools you will be ok with it if someone stole them. If you like buying 2 times the tools for 1/2 the price of the good stuff, or if your like me and can fix almost anything but can not afford all the different tools from brand-name companies. We finally have a store we can call our own. Cheap tools made far far away sold for still too high a price. Yet, not as pricey as the competition. So we do what we can with what we can afford kind of store. Conveniently located in the middle of Hamilton Hills shopping center. Just drive thru the shopping center and it's on your right if you don't see it. Just turn around and go back, it will be on your right. I guarantee it's on the right for sure by that...
