Picante's Grill — Restaurant in Jackson

The waiter was pretty rude. He wouldn't look at us while taking our order (strange. I know) He randomly walked off while someone was asking him a question and began sitting down and serving another party, and he brought someone the wrong order then proceeded to argue with her about how it's served. The food also wasn't the greatest. I would advise you get nothing with the beef. It tastes odd and finely minced if that makes sense. My friend thinks it's because it was frozen. By the way, one of the salsas was partially frozen and he really didn't want to give us another one. Now if you do end up going I would recommend the happy plate. I ordered a chicken happy plate (vegetables on the side) and it was really good. My friend ordered a shrimp happy plate and hers looked really good as well. However the other dishes from people in our party looked pretty bad. Especially the burrito and chicken nachos. Now the friend that recommended the place swears they were never that rude but she also said the two people we dealt with usually never helped/served her and she always orders the same thing. Absolutely terrible service with a large easy going crew who told me it was good. First time here. Server got mad when I questioned something on the bill and paying for something we didn’t order. We tried to correct things before the end of the meal but he never came back until checks and the discrepancy was addressed. No drink refills. He didn’t bring our food or chips. Others did. He walked around the restaurant “bowed up” after our discussion at the table side and I wanted to speak to the manager. The managers came over obviously not caring to talk about the dispute of the bill stating the food was eaten and had to be paid for. (THAT WASN'T OUR ISSUE). The issue is adding extra cheese dips all over a table and people thinking they have their correct order then blaming us as a large party for eating what we think is correct. Heck that’s a great way to make extra money, tack on food at the end of a big meal and “someone will pay for it”. Yes it’s small, but when the reaction is to tell the customer “you think you’re trying to be smart don’t you” after I had already stated we will pay for it. No lie I’ve been coming over 8 years and it was great up until these last few months the lady at the cashier is sooo rude it’s sad ! So this last time I went I discovered they charged me 15% (20$) for 3 people seriously! Then I was short 6 dollars cash and asked to use my Debit for rest and she then said it would be 22$ extra for 6 dollars honestly it was so embarrassing how they treat regulars ! It was sick !!
