Can someone please talk to past me and ask why in the heck we waited so long to visit this place?! It is absolutely wonderful! The nosh items are mostly ever-changing based on the season and what incredibly fresh ingredients they can get their hands on. The building isn’t the easiest for our handicapable friends, but I bet my bottom dollar if you’re one and want to give them a try… they’ll either deliver it curbside or give you options for easier access. I’m serious, these folks are absolutely down to earth and welcoming to all! We felt like family the minute we set foot inside and have remained that way! Mya (spelling?) is an absolute gem of an employee! If I had a local business front, they’d need to watch out! I’d do all I could to steal her! (Don’t fret Urban Fox leaders, I’m leaving the coffee and awesome local business experience to you! I just had to make a point.) If there’s a grilled cheese ANYTHING available, order it! My spouse and bestie are obsessed! I’ll share this in closing… the second visit, we went on a Saturday morning… the employee present was by themself (no, not ideal, but who knows what goes on in the crazy life of owning a business these days?). They were CRAZY business and even crazier outnumbered with orders. The vibe was chill, we weren’t in a hurry… So, we told them to take their time on our food. We enjoyed our drinks by the sip (probably wouldn’t have slowly enjoyed it otherwise which would’ve been sad)… and within 15-20 minutes we had warm, absolutely stunning, food. They profusely apologized. The very next visit, we hoped to see them because we had a gift of thanks we’d made. They were still insistent to apologize for the previous visit but we told them to hush! A perfect experience is...
Read moreI’ve spent six hours per day hunkered down in this business for each of the past two days, so I can attest to Urban Foxes’ hospitality, atmosphere, and quality. I want nothing more than to give them more of my money when they open again on Monday....so yeah, I’m their newest fan.
I’m a NOLA local who decided to wait out tropical storm Barry up in Jackson. I needed to get some work done during my displacement, and I found Urban Foxes to be just the place. They have several rooms with ample seating, so there’s plenty of room to settle in and dig into work. I picked a seat close to the door so I could pop out to their spacious (and covered) porch to take phone calls.
I was definitely leaning hard into their hospitality, and everyone here has been nothing but wonderful. They even had a craft beer special going that I good advantage of on the tail end of my work day. Yeah, I enjoyed my coffee, my pastries, and my grilled cheese sandwich...but it was the welcoming atmosphere that really set this business apart. Urban Foxes sets a high bar for hospitality in Jackson, and I am 100% thankful to have spent some solid time here while I...
Read more*My sister and I pulled off of the interstate to eat here on our way from Georgia to Texas. We were excited to try the “highly reviewed” grilled cheese on homemade bread and the made-from-scratch key lime pie. These items were both absolutely amazing & filled us up. *We tried other menu items, too. The pecan pie had twice the amount of pecans on top and only a small portion of the gelled center which was different from my mama’s pecan pie, but good if you love pecans. The chocolate chip scone, chia tea, vanilla latte, and red pepper quiche were all pretty good, too. *My teen nephew said the peanut butter pie was his favorite, while the grilled cheese was my 6-yr-old niece’s favorite. She said her sandwich was extra cheesy. *We sat in an interior room with a tv and VHS player and a large library of VHS tapes, so she was able to watch Cinderella while we waited a very short time to be served. It was such a treat! *The restroom was very clean and the employees were exceptionally courteous. The price was a little bit higher than a regular lunch menu, but expected because everything was made...
