I visited this establishment yesterday afternoon, reservation was at 3:30, we ordered around 4:00, there were 5 people in my party…. Before the food came we’d already ordered 10 shots, so I asked if we could be charged for a bottle and just finish the rest out in shots…. So basically however many shots I was going to out the bottle, give me that same amount for $250… the assistant manager said you get 10 shots out a bottle? Then that’s $25/shot….
At this point I’ve asked for the owner, I’m told he says not to bother him
I find out they were charging us $15 for 1oz shot… c’mon man really?
It’s now 5:30 and still no food, they close at 6….
So at this point, I’ve complimented the waitress for her professionalism, because it’s not her fault it takes two hours to cook shrimp and grits, nor is she working the bar, nor is she setting the pricing…. I tip her $100 cash
The assistant manager at this point is still being professional as well, and I am totally being respectful. I’ve noticed an older couple outside and pay their check.
I’m still asking for the owner though, because although we are all being respectful, still have no food…
Finally the food comes 5:40 with the bill, and I don’t know if this is on purpose or not, but there’s an $87 gratuity added to the check, I already gave her $100! Not I single adjustment AT LEAST for the food… but now I’m feeling real played at this point
Again, I’m asking for the owner, not a representative… and the first thing out this guy mouth is, “you gonna respect me.”
WHAT!!!!!!???!!!!?!?!?
And then I’m PHYSICALLY thrown out!
For the record, I’m 5’4, 135lbs female and you are intimated by me?
This place is an absolute soup sandwich and will NOT be in business long. In business you have to ask yourself, do you want one time customers or reoccurring customers, clearly they prefer...

I’m starting at the very beginning. 🧐
Parking: FREE PARKING!
If you haven’t been there before, you’ll drive past the place looking for the parking, but it’s actually in the back of the establishment. Just drive through the garage like entrance. If you want a park in there, GET THERE EARLY! They’ll block it off once it’s full; if your car is low to the ground, just park on the street, because the ground clearance is high as you go into the garage.
Drinks🍹 Ike & Tina ($20) Patron, Grand Marnier, & Lime Juice)
PYT ($20) Tequila, Triple Sec, Prickly Pear, Sweet & Sour, & Lime Juice)
They’re not stingy with NONE of the liquor, when it comes to their drinks! You’ll get your monies worth.
Food🍗 Voodoo Wing Platter (40pc) Buffalo, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and Sweet Chili BBQ. (I actually shared with everyone!🤨😅) The wings came out hot and were absolutely delicious.🤤 I’ve never had dry Garlic Parmesan flavored wings, let just say they were the first to be devoured!😮💨😮💨😁😁
Music/Dj 🎤 Whomever the DJ was, had the music going all night. The music wasn’t extremely loud like most club/establishments.
Security 👮♀️ I can tell you this, they have Security in the parking lot, out front of the eatery, and on the inside. And Capitol Police was driving by every 5 minutes to add on to that!🤔
All in all, here’s my final score of Trio Eatery (802 N. State, Jackson, MS 39202).
Drinks: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Trio Eatery as a whole (Waiter, DJ, Cleanliness) 10/10
I’ll definitely be back. Check them out for yourselves. The do offer Brunch, Lunch,...
Read moreI really wanted to enjoy this establishment, however me & my party was never given the chance to. I’ve visited your place of business twice the first time was brunch (the air wasn’t working) despite the service was good. They acknowledged us.. addressed all concerns which overshadowed the lackluster food. Tonight, a friend decided to celebrate a birthday at the “Sky Lounge”…. The moment we sat down everything was wrong, from us never being serviced to the manager having to step in & service us.. we ordered a hookah, it never came. No one ever apologized … they decided to give us a cabana thinking it would solve the poorly ran place of business. I understand things happen & things may fall into the cracks but it was clear that our business was never wanted or appreciated. We watched our “server” bounce around us from table to table. She came by 1 time happy that we had gone to the bar to get our own drinks & left us saying “Good thing yal already have drinks, so I’ll be back to check on yal.. I got to go handle something” she never came back!! I’m sure these type of establishments aren’t easy to run especially in Jackson, I would just say do better. Your business has so much potential, but the servers which are the face of the business will/has ruin...
