PICASSO BISTRO and Pizzeria-- Restaurant Review--If culinary brilliance were to be painted on a plate, the artist behind those creations would undoubtedly be the chef at Picasso Bistro in Jackson, TN. Each time I go, the dining experience leaves me thoroughly impressed with its dedication to fresh, high-quality ingredients and its enchanting and innovative fusion of flavors.
Upon entering, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that is reminiscent of a cozy European bistro, with the immediate aroma of freshly baked bread and a hint of garlic wafting through the air. It doesn't take long to conclude you are in for a treat.
My meal started with a salad, a seemingly simple dish that was elevated to perfection at Picasso. The plate was abundant with a bright, crisp arugula mix, garnished with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. It was a delightful prelude to the main course and a testament to the restaurant's commitment to freshness and quality.
Though Picasso Bistro might be renowned for its custom pizza pies, a little-known fact is that it has the best seafood in town and, quite possibly, the region. Picasso receives a fresh Wednesday catch, flown in weekly from Hawaii. From week to week, there may be variety. I've had sea bass, salmon, mahi mahi, and yet tonight was my favorite.
The Cuban spiced grouper I ordered confirmed that Picasso offers the best. Grilled to perfection, the fish flavors danced on my tongue, accompanied by exotic sides of the heart of pineapples, black beans, sautéed plantains and a creamy sauce that created an extraordinary culinary symphony.
And the bread? The cheesy breadstick, straight from their wood-fired oven, did its job excellently, adding a delightful crunch and a warmth that complemented the entire meal.
Regrettably, I had to skip dessert this time. I have a 40-year class reunion coming up in a week! :} Still, the tempting menu of chocolate creations brought back fond memories of anniversary indulgences that were so delicious they could completely dismantle my Keto eating plan. Next time, resistance might be futile.
Service was as impeccable as the food, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable and eager to ensure a perfect dining experience. My food arrived quickly but was not rushed and my water glass never went below a half tank. Even better was the company I kept with my lovely bride and the warm hellos from good friends in the community.
In conclusion, Picasso Bistro offers not just a meal but an artistic experience, transforming ordinary ingredients into extraordinary dishes that captivate all senses. Whether you are a seafood lover, a dessert devotee, or just want a good pizza, Picasso Bistro will seduce your palate and leave you longing for more. Make sure to get there early because a gastronomic experience like this should...
Read moreWon't be back. Paid over 60. First time going there. Was met by the door. Attendee stated 30 to 35 minutes. Might have been to 40 minutes. Over an hour later we were seated. First thing needs to be said our waitress was attentive friendly. Unfortunately, she did get our son's order incorrect instead of a 10-in he ordered a 14-in I ordered a 10-in pepperoni plain. No Sauce salad only cheese plain. No dressing. We also ordered a couple of appetizers
I noticed that my salad had a crouton in it and I had an actual onion in it. I'm sure those were by mistake. It also had like a pepper on it so I didn't eat much of it. My pizza arrived. It had some spice on it. I believe it was the same as that was on my salad. I ordered it plain. Another waitress there. Stop by and ask us if we liked our food and I said well or is my son's came and it was supposed to be a 14-in. My came with this on it. She at that point told me that it's in the menu that it all comes on it. I didn't see that on the menu. It's not in bold or print. I guess I had to read it from cover to cover to find that. Told her that it was not pleasing. In fact, I used the word icky. Being that I just spent the week with my grandchildren Icky just happened to come out. She told me I could order another one but I'd have to pay for that one also. The waitress told us no we didn't have to and then came back with an apology saying Yes I would have to pay for another one if I ordered another one.
So needless to say I had to go home and prepare some food for myself. I have no problem with the $60 plus. However I do have issue with people who are not into customer service. So hence I...

*Review written by myself and girlfriend as we stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon/night. *
Atmosphere: 10/10, fancy but casual. Average Joes like myself feel comfortable in establishments such as this. Looking around before we ordered, we knew we had made the absolute right choice. Delicious food is all our eyes were noticing. Kudos.
Menu: Don’t be overwhelmed. I’m sure anything you choose will give you meaning in life. It took us several minutes to order, because we wanted to try everything. It all looks and sounds so good. Adult drinks are affordable and there’s plenty of choices! Kudos!
Beverage: Ordered a Michelob Ultra. Ice cold. Once again, kudos.
Appetizer: Ordered the Fresh Bruschetta. Came with 9 pieces of some of the best bruschetta I’ve had, hands down. Once again, kudos.
Main: Ordered the Portabello Picasso pizza. Let me start with first glance. Steamy and hot with melting cheese and some beautiful mushrooms on top. First bite; wow! Girlfriend and I looked at each other and announced this our new safe space. The crust was a pleasant surprise, with an added bonus! Nice little seasoning and very crispy! God Almighty! Kudos!
Dessert: Ordered the Rock Slide Brownie. Basically a brownie covered in brownie cubes and pecans, drizzled with caramel and served with ice cream. Who in their right mind would not want any part of this?! Once again, kudos.
Service: We sat at the bar, so service was quick and employees were ready to make sure this was one heck of a dining experience. No complaints here! One...
